This big beast makes me smile... not sure if it's a self portrait.  Living in the woods I can go without brushing my hair, showering and would rather be exploring the forest than Instagram, perhaps I'm a Sasquatch in training.  This idea of a log over the gorge is appealing, you can play with the light in many ways, right now it's more about colour than subject.  The background was very watery, I like the look & will explore it further.

Storm came home yesterday with a gift! Isn't it beautiful!? I can't stop thinking of the ledge on this quartz, every time I look at it I imagine a polar bear on an iceberg... I have clay and might just do that, this weekend.  I love rocks, natural.. not polished gems.  Rocks remind me we are all strong & beautiful and some prefer to be polished and some  natural.  I'm more the natural now, polished when younger.  My favourite parable is how Jesus compares himself to a rock.  He is my rock.  Rocks are the foundation of all.  It was dirty, I scrubbed it and then couldn't lift it out of the sink!  It now adorns the coffee table.

Check out this tiny stowaway!! HOW the heck did he get in here?!  This plant is a liquorice vine, one of my favourite container plants for it's spreading , soft 'furry' leaves and bright greens.  I put this one in a pot that I plan to bring in for the fall and see if I can keep it growing.  I lifted it out of the pot - which is in a cement pot up on a coffee table and low & behold!  This very cool tiny frog, I've never seen before -have you?  Just snuggled in.. how the heck did it even get in there and why - of all the places in this forest did it choose my pot on the patio? I'm honoured it did.  It's adorable, it looked at me and snuggled back down as if to say - do you mind?  I'll leave it be, but check on it to make sure it can get out.. amaze that it even got in. It kinda resembles the plant, even slightly furry in appearance. After watching an episode of the WHY Files.. I'm hesitant to touch creatures I know nothing about... there is a frog that if bothered  can produce sharp claws and spikes on their body, plus I don't think  creatures like being fondled by us giants, even IF we provide them with nice homes.

Hot again today and the next few.. Enjoy it while it lasts!  Athene is not fond of the heat and I can usually find her sleeping in my room (the coolest) or in the gazebo! I looked for her the other day - bordering panic after 30 minutes only to look and see her looking at me from the gazebo, her other favourite  napping spot, Arrow can open the door to get out - Athene can't, yet. Arrow, Poppy & Ginger too are all heat mongers, they'll stay out until I come in.

Enjoy this day The Lord has made! I hope you find a nice rock.
