A vibrant magenta sky this morning! It was amazing! Difficult to capture just how vibrant it was ... it made me want to grab my paints - a little brisk for outdoor painting, for me.
I'm on day 3 of painting my mushrooms & I should be finished today.. I painted this wee bunny, inspired by a leaf - as my warm up. I've seen a few hares but not many, I guess they smell the dogs and won't linger anyway.
The little I've seen of the election in the USA.... is disheartening. Trump is going to win, at least he doesn't seem like a complete puppet, his remarks we might not like but he is blunt and appears to speak the truth, no matter how brutal it is sometimes. The hatred they are stoking (both sides) against specific people is terrible. They are doing the opposite of what he have all been taught - don't judge the bushel of apples by one rotten one. To hear them, all problems stem from immigrants... forgetting America is in part responsible for the destruction of their homes - either directly or indirectly.
Our problems with immigration could possibly have been minimized with education (for new immigrants), it seems our government is taking a step back... too little too late? Time will tell. Who has the answers? No one - if we did, we would not all be feeling the level of anxiety and frustration towards our "leaders". I was reading the number one fear Americans have currently, is of a corrupt government - then health issue next. Number one & Canada isn't far behind I bet, we have lost faith in our government designed by the people for the people.
Who knows, perhaps Trump will pleasantly surprise us this time. Melania is speaking her own mind - especially on abortion rights for women (in opposition to her husband) - fantastic! As she should. I think the days of 'First Ladies' being the dutiful housewife are over... they are immersed in it all, probably as much as their partners.
Perhaps there's hope still for Justin too! I am glad he got divorced for one reason, I don't think that life is good for children, imagine how difficult it all has been for them under constant scrutiny, to have anger directed at the children because of who their father is - is insanity. I'm sure he is still a good father - perhaps even better now.
Who would want that job? You? Could you do better? Not I, no thank you.
