Just chilling watching fall. 8 x 10 gouache on black.
It's lovely to watch fall falling.. when the wind blows it's like listening to an ocean while watching leaves swirling. This is the weekend if you want to witness fall before it's over. I imagine Haliburton will be busy with tourists who are amazed at the colours of nature and amazing it is! In a way this is a self portrait, me spending time with God & nature - like this frog, chilling, enjoying every second.
Just last week Storm and I were talking about the future and we both agreed, something's got to give. Canada in particular with its recent immigration movement (that doesn't always seem to be going so smoothly) makes me think a universal set of laws/rules must be created to help avoid tensions escalating. I think a lot of tension could have been avoided with education. If I visit another country I want to learn of their customs/laws and would never want to intentionally upset others or their customs - isn't that why we travel, to experience other cultures? Most people would be of the same mindset. It seems to me as if it's been a quick dump of humans when we are currently struggling with not enough affordable homes, jobs to work and high living expenses - & I'm sure many are experiencing culture shock. No wonder tensions are high. Either way - there's no turning back, the genie is out of the bottle. Obviously millions feel the same & the UN has just announced the pact for The future to transfer global government. After reading it all, I agree with it... although I am concerned with a few aspects. How fantastic to read, we are eliminating nuclear weapons, plans to abolish world hunger, education for all and unlike Canada (currently) access to news & information for all, not only what our government allows us to know about. Freedom to express ourselves and not be thrown in jail for sharing our peaceful opinions, like our truckers. Gender equality and focusing on empowerment of women, Peace & security and the right to privacy. Sustainable development & focus on climate change - whew', about time.
It's an interesting read and I encourage all to do so.
I felt hopeful after reading it. Yes, I'm a bit concerned about the future of 'digital & AI advancements but again - there's no stopping it now. The people have shown recently with protests around the globe, we do have power, we must be considered regarding our future & the future of generations to come - we can't keep going in the direction we currently are without universal understanding & compassion. God wants us to LOVE our neighbours, some seem to think this only refers to physically 'who lives next door' - but everyone is our neighbour, neighbouring towns, cities & countries. I've said before - if it was me in some of these worn torn places I'd be doing all I could to bring my family to someplace safer, not ravaged by death & destruction. Wouldn't you? It's human nature... and Gods will.
All is planned for a jump start, 2030 - that's only 5 years away.
I have faith in God and God LOVES us all, that is why I am hopeful.
Jesus is the Truth & the Light and He is shinning brighter than ever before, that gives me the most hope.
I'm making another rosary this weekend! & of course there are drawings waiting to be painted.
Get out an see fall before it's fallen, ready to take another nap called winter.
Enjoy this day The Lord has made!
