I spied a frog - not a toad, a green slippery frog, the kind you find on lake edges amongst the weeds.. so where do these frogs come from? Why do they travel so far, I can see the nearest pond but it sure appears to be some distance for a tiny frog to hop all the way here. Either way I prefer frogs over toads, to paint. There is an abundant amount of both.
The squash I am growing is called Delicata Squash and looks like this:

Mine still look tiny in comparison - still green but getting larger every day, easy to imagine them in a few short weeks reaching their full potential & my plate! Tomatoes all green and cucumber almost ready to pluck, August harvest is almost here! I think when finally ready, I'll paint a still life, perhaps with a frog on a squash... the possibilities are endless as long as there is paint.
