Jesus is absolutely ALL about promoting Love, turn the other cheek & love your neighbour BUT he too makes himself very clear: if you cause a child to 'stumble', to simply trip (intentionally).... let alone beat, abuse, torture, rape - you will wish you were dead by the time Jesus is finished with you. You will prey for mercy. You are going to Sheol, dragged down by a stone weight tied around your neck. It is the one time Jesus is not so loving, he's brutally blunt - Thank God.
