Acrylic on metal 33 inches long
It's interesting noticing the difference in saws, also how nice they were - compared to how they are. Are they now better? I don't know because these ones have sure lasted a long time! This one had a name stamped onto the actual blade as well as a 'coin' inlay that I left (unpainted) as a nice tiny detail & history of this saw. When painting an object you wonder -how many times this saw was used & what for - to cut down trees or build up homes? Perhaps both.
I had an image of a 'normal frog but then this guy decided to appear sitting, pondering.. just enjoying the sunlight and glory of God, so much to see on the forest floor. I'm longing to sit in the woods.. so much to see when you sit quietly and take in all my surroundings. Mushrooms, moss, logs, frogs, bugs... love. There is so much love in this painting, I lost count of how many times I painted the actual word 'Love. I did paint the handle - just to tie it all in but still it's simple, enough so you notice the fine wooden handle but not to take any from the painting.
These 'canvas' albeit challenging, are exciting.
This saw is available to purchase (if interested send me a message), I'm going to offer art for sale as I simply have acquired quite a bit of art- go figure. If it doesn't sell, I'm o.k. enjoying it also. lol. When the time is right , the time will be right - in all things. Trust God.
I'm on a personal mission to paint, every day, haha - so far so good.
I have one goal for this year, please God.
Every time I sit at my desk, be it painting for fun or 'something a little more serious, before I dip my brush I'm asking for a blessing and giving thanks for the opportunity. Thanking my Creator for the gift of creating.
