The dogs are finally playing with Athene - Whew! This means I get a bit of a rest. It's fun to watch Arrow chase her around the house or how amazing Athene & Mr.K play - they play the most, I realized it's because they are both babies- both under a year. It didn't take long for Athene to gain the upper paw and now has the cat yelping out a few times. This pup is amazing me with the speed of her growth, her speed in general! Thankful there's still too much snow for her to take off - and have us chasing her. Athene & Poppy are the sweetest team', I'm happy they play so much because soon Athene will be too big to ruff it out with Poppy, yet right now - they are not just playing - they are building a friendship. Every now and then Athene either sits on Poppy or puts one of those big paws on her face, but Poppy is learning the moves and lets her know when - she has had enough! I know this too, by her actions and will not let Athena continue, as I don't want snapping' to ensue.
Arrow is my service dog & I din't know it.. If the cat goes near the bird cage - Arrow jumps and scares it away, all on her own. Yesterday, I saw Athene walking towards the gate ( I was in the house), I said to Arrow "Go GET Athene!!" & She bolted, looked and found, then pounced at Athene! Several times as to say "Hey! what do you think you're doing!" What ever it means in dog language - Athene stopped in her tracks and turned and followed Arrow back and into the house. Amen for the extra training help. She is an adorable puppy!! I think it's the eyebrows or the floppy ears when she runs..
Today training has started on a few things:
Don't steal from everyones dish, cause you wolf'd' yours down.
Pee-pads are only for nighttime emergencies.. day time - outside.
No, you can not go out all the time, sometimes you nap & wait until MOM is ready.
NO jumping on me, when I'm at my drawing desk.
Other than that, they all have cabin fever, the sun is shining at it's double digits on Fridays! They know -except for Athene- spring has sprung, we can feel it growing as we watch snow melting & we are all anxious for trees with leaves, birds and bees! Mushrooms to be picked, fried and eaten - can't wait!
BTW - did you hear or see.. Oprah promoting psilocybin. Oprah, letting people know about the positive aspects she's learning about "Magic Mushrooms" for PTSD, depression... not to mention countless beneficial side effects like calming, creativity boosts & overall better 'health' awareness. Thank you Oprah, your acknowledging will indeed help eliminate the stigma, create a greater curiosity & encourage people to seek out what the universe thinks they need. I have tried to educate some - especially those I know that have or are considering anti-depressants for depression/stress... please, try psilocybin first. OR at least take the time to educate yourself- before you decide.. REMEMBER - BIG Pharma, makes big money - keeping you on highly addictive & sometimes deadly drugs... Psilocybin does not kill... as a matter of fact - they say -science & studies.. it heals the brain.
Time to paint, in between chasing the puppy.
