Phenomenon!  Du duuu, dudu du.. du dudu du!    I was listening to a podcast about nuclear energy' and the potential for chaos, never mentioned by politicians, wanting to promote nuclear energy.  Do you know how much Doug Ford wants to spend of taxpayers money - how can we possibly pay for anymore than they are volunteering us, to PAY for?   Anyhow- he wants to spend OVER $325 BILLION dollars.  It amazes me how many say - it's safe.. sure sure, tell that to Japan STILL cleaning up since 2011. Are you aware of the harms associate with living near a nuclear facility ? Besides decrease in your property value...
Harms of Living Near a Nuclear Plant:Living near a nuclear power plant can pose several potential harms and risks, primarily linked to radiation exposure, environmental concerns, and safety risks. Here's a detailed overview:
Potential Health Risks
  1. Radiation Exposure
    • Living close to a nuclear plant may lead to chronic low-level radiation exposure, although regulatory bodies assert that emissions are within safe limits. Any acute accidents, however, can result in higher exposure levels.
  2. Thyroid Issues
    • Increased risks of thyroid cancer, particularly among children, have been observed in areas close to nuclear plants, due to radioactive iodine releases in accidents.
  3. Other Cancers
    • Some studies indicate a slightly elevated risk of leukemia and other cancers in populations living near nuclear facilities.
Environmental Concerns
  1. Contamination Risks
    • Accidental releases can lead to soil and water contamination, affecting local flora and fauna. Such contamination can persist for long periods.
  2. Nuclear Waste
    • Long-term storage of nuclear waste generates concerns about leaks and contamination over thousands of years, especially as deposits age and storage conditions evolve.
Safety Risks
  1. Accidents
    • While highly regulated, the potential for catastrophic events like meltdowns (e.g., Chernobyl, Fukushima) exists, leading to mass evacuations and long-term inhabited zones.
  2. Evacuation Plans
    • Living in proximity often requires being aware of and prepared for emergency evacuation plans, which can be stressful for residents.
Psychological and Social Factors
  1. Fear and Anxiety
    • The potential for accidents may induce chronic stress and anxiety among residents, leading to mental health challenges.
  2. Property Values
    • Homes near nuclear plants may have lower property values due to the stigma and perceived risks associated with living near a nuclear facility.
The actual risks can vary significantly based on the plant's safety protocols, design, and the regulatory environment. While large-scale incidents are rare, the potential consequences can be severe, leading to ongoing debate about the safety and location of nuclear power facilities.

Ask yourself: IS this a risk I want to take?? D I want to live near this facility? Who made this Yahoo boss of us, making these expensive decisions that potentially effect us all and cost us more than we can afford- our health. Sure it might be RARE - but who wants to take that chance? Rare but  Risky.  Fact.

I wonder if the next time you hear the word 'Phenomenon' this tune will play in your head, sorry not sorry. lol
... again, remember this crap when they try to make you feel bad for YOUR carbon footprint! WHAT A JOKE.
Enjoy this day the Lord has made! ... Before these elite Yahoos destroy it, for all of us
