As the evening comes, let all my thoughts be still of You and of Your love.
Soon to be 'acrylic on board to twirling from my ceiling, reminding me of love & being love, as I drift off each night.
The opposite side already sketched, today I paint & I'm excited -having already painted it in my mind.
It's a humid, superb Sunday.. the dogs are chasing chipmunks & Poppy tries to entice me into the gazebo, she loves lounging in there as I read, sketch & nap (safe from mosquitos) & it doesn't take much to get me in there... as other than at my desk, there's no place Id rather be. I just finished Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood, which I enjoyed in part due to the Toronto history & reference - I think I'll read all of her books. A movie was made, I'll look for it but I'm usually disappointed by movie versions. Have you seen a movie better than the book? I'd be curious to compare.
I've been watching the Untold series on Netflix, recently the: The girlfriend that didn't exist, really had me thinking.
People fucking with others are seriously messed up -to the point it almost ruined this guys career, wow.
What a selfish, conniving human to play with a persons emotions as she did to the degree she did - astounding.
Manti Te'o who was catfished' big time is a wonderful human in my opinion & a bigger & better man NOW because he forgives. To see how so many jumped on the bandwagon, made fun of him, talk show hosts like David Letterman - who are they to judge anyone, they stoop lower for 'ratings'. If anything it changed my mind on how I see them & anyone who takes joy making fun of others. I also watched the tennis episode & am grateful for the education & honesty shared, in particular on how this young mans mental health was affected. Quite eye opening. I hope Netflix plays Spaz the movie - about Steve Williams, the animator who created the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, I was thinking it should be an Untold episode.
These truthful journeys although not always pleasant for those on them, teach us all countless lessons, especially when complicated with the 'price of fame & what's involved. You never know until you walk in another shoes - we (the fans) only think it's been all fun & games. We hardly see the trials & tribulations behind what makes them great & how they get there (endless hard work!), it's brave of them to share & I'm grateful for the education on many levels.
If I'm going to watch TV, I prefer it to be real life' just like most books I read. We learn from others & the stories they share. I hope with my 'story' here, I encourage creativity, compassion & perseverance.
Time to focus on & paint - love.
