Patterns.. are super relaxing to create! Mindless painting fun, just blobs turned into bears soon turned into business cards! I was excited to see - how they cut out, I just used a big cutter, not stressing over placement
I needed some business cards and decided just to make some. That's them above, pre cut. I'll write my name and contact info on the back - and each card becomes a free tiny original. I include them with art and when asked I have this. I've come to a decision I'll share. The only info going on this card is my existing www , the rest if anyone is interested, will figure out soon enough. No phone number (I RARELY ever speak on my phone).. no e mail. All I need to share is this site here, as all info is here'. Just incase IG charges for their service. WHY do we have to pay them to 'verify' our accounts? Just another cash cow. They entice us to sign up, then change the rules as they CHOOSE as we go along, and hooked - just like any other DRUG, people just pay. People pay for a service they would not have - without us. Nope.
I painted all 3 at once so each could dry in between. I was pleased with the final results and 0 cost to me other than time & supplies I already have. I cut them on my big cutter- I bought long ago and stressed over the price- this cutter has paid for itself many times over. I made each card 2 x 3.5 and didn't have a lot of scrap. 10 cards easily, from each page. Now I have over 30 sweet little business cards! The hardest part was writing my name on the back.
This morning, my knee - reminded me - Be gentle today! We re all early birds and our chores already done before it gets too hot. This day feels heavy and arthritis is making itself known. I'm planning my next big art and that can be done outside. Yesterday, I mentioned God is particularly fond of artists, lol God also mentions we are to teach others our crafts, gifts... etc. I might not be able to share actual art- but hopefully I've inspired someone today to 'go old school' & create some business cards.
This was not new to me, I've been making original cards for decades, I had one woman tell me, she loved my card so much and carried it forever in her wallet, it made her chuckle (it was a simple cartoon) and it was why she contacted me months later to commission some work. Have Faith, when God wants you & your creations seen they will be - until then you can just go and enjoy the creation process!
