Say hello to Athena.
On Jan 1st a friend posted her dog had pups! Want one? - Of course! It's something we discussed and the Universe provides. First - a shout out to my Love, Storm! When I told him I was getting a puppy, I asked if he'd take me to get it - "it's close to Newmarket, I think.. about 2 hours". WELL, when I sent him the address - he informed me: it is NOT near Newmarket more like Quebec and it takes 5 hours - one way! LOL. That's something I would do.. lol thankfully he checked and had no problems taking me - still. What a BEAUTIFU, perfect valentines day it turned out to be.
We were already on the road 2 hours before the sun started to come up and home by 5. The sun was shining, the sky blue and the view - Oh Canada!.. that being said, I assumed - for sure they would have more snow up North! Nope, they had less than 1/2 of what we do (more happening as I type). This is the only thing about puppies.. best to get them in the spring when not having to venture out in-20 to pee. We had breakfast, lunch on the road, a few laughs (I laughed so hard at one point I almost peed myself! I didn't have to the pup peed on me on the ride home, I didn't care - 5 hours and not one peep! It was sniff fest when baby arrived! Some snouts were bent out of joint for a bit hahaha
but they are already coming around. Arrow seems very excited.
Currently, Athena is the same size as Poppy, slightly smaller than Ginger and smaller than the cat, but that's all going to change. It is the cat that plays with her the most, the dog's have their moments albeit, I see the love starting already. There is nothing like a puppy to add joy, love and playfulness.. Poppy and Ginger are colluding for the future. (below)
