I know I'm not alone when posting on social media, to try and post meaningful things... most of the time it's paintings or art which are all meaningful - to me at least, not as in each is a masterpiece (lol) but to inspire others to keep creating, keep going, what ever you do.. keep doing it. Not everything is a masterpiece but everything is a lesson.
Lately, I've come to the realization we've all been duped' (again) and not by just Mike Myers & the CIA.. where would social media be without us? It's a billion dollar business for a few, not for the average user - who keeps it going, they are lucky if all they get is a 'like'. Instagram should be paying people to join & stay, paying people to post & share to keep others engaged, instead it's just one more way to manipulate the masses with algorithms, bots and overwhelm us with things we don't necessarily ask to 'see & depresses the average person - thinking the illusion is a way of life' for all the influencers, influencing. Today I thought, what can I post that is meaningful?
Storm came in from his morning walk in the forest with a bunch of wildflowers! A simple kind gesture that made my morning. The gratitude I have for him, I can't put into words some days. We are far from perfect & certainly have our share of arguments, the usual stuff- some of which is brought on by others, stresses, events, life - and we do as everyone else and take it out on those we love, because they love us. We all do it. We usually have a few day (sometimes week) cooling off period after arguments, somethings don't seem to get resolved but at least we get each other thinking, because we care. When we stop caring, we stop fighting.. there is no point.
I admit, I am not always easy to live with and like most mom's - the expectations I have for him are high. I let very little slide albeit he is now a grown man- he still get's my opinions on things, like it or not. If your mom can't tell you something - who will. I know I've said hurtful things (so has he) yet I can't think of anyone I love more on this planet & don't fool around when stressing some points.
Having Storm here is a blessing. He is a terrific cook and does his share, especially making me my decadent mashed potatoes (extra) because he knows I like them for breakfast the next day! The property is looking beautiful, peaceful and professionally done - & let me tell you - it's work, he seeds, weeds and plants - as well as throughout the forest - he keeps my walking paths trimmed for ease, not an easy task for him. He does most of the cleaning and always the difficult things that I can no longer do without pain(from arthritis), he baths all the dogs, catches bird when she escapes, and picks up the dog pooh too, without complaining but some gagging - hahaha. On top of it all he does his own work', teaching about mycology, growing mushrooms - he just started a wine cap garden on the property & we have Shiitake logs out back, as well as growing Oyster mushrooms and lions mane- I eat healthier because of Storm & HOLY cow- he asked me several times a day: have you had your a glass of water lately?? He helps me with everything I ask, takes me where ever I need to go and has become over the years not only a son I am proud of but a young man I am grateful for.
We've always been close and probably always will be but today, a post about my son is the most meaning full post I can think of. I know I don't always tell him I love him, but I do. What a journey The Lord has had us on... I am indeed a bible thumper when it comes to sharing with him - hahaha. I once heard him blurt out to someone: She LOVES Jesus!
& besides giggling I thought - well there you go! I have done something right! He knows of my LOVE for my creator!
I'm grateful for it all.. what's meaningful to you? What's worth posting about... #Ilovemyson

P.S... the prior post - the bus driver of The Lolita Bus' was fired, apparently with an apology from the school. Yay.
