Everything old is new again.. mostly.
I have this white fitted shirt that has been well worn I noticed the other day it had a stain on the back, blood I think and it would not come out - so, I fancied it up, covered it up.. with paint, of course. Something simple, summer & red - to go with a red purse that I like, big and roomy. I tied it all together with the green around the base, pleased with the results - I look forward to wearing it. I use acrylic paint and a sharpie. Nothing special, but I do wash it in cold and hang to dry, I've always done it this way and have painted shirts that have lasted longer than professionally printed shirts.
When venturing into the woods a long sleeve is advised, less 'skin showing will help keep mosquitos at bay... it rained all day yesterday & the mosquitos are definitely out! Once the sun is out they go away... they make us appreciate the sun even more. I was thinking.. an old shirt with paw prints on it would be fun, possibly. Or... if I was still teaching kids, a border of colourful tiny hands would have been neat too. The possibilities are endless! This shirt will be enjoyed a few more times before it becomes a rag.
