It's getting chilly. This was my morning warm up.. Arrow in her hat she's ready for fall.
Do you need something to do this weekend? A day trip to see the Glory of God - painting the forest!
It's the Haliburton (an area) studio tour & a perfect weekend for walking and admiring creativity, perhaps bring your sketchbook and create some of your own.
This weekend and next, https://www.thestudiotour.ca. it's a lovely weekend to take in fall and be inspired by all the artists and creations. There is something for everyone and every budget, a perfect event to get your Christmas gifts! Supporting local artists and getting one of a kind creations is a win win for everyone. One of my favourite artists not to miss is Harvey Walker -painter, and his lovely studio! There are a few I hope to check out, one is walking distance, perhaps well do just that! They have all sort of artists -not just painting, there is pottery, wood art, jewelry .. I think you would need 2 weekends to enjoy it all!
There are also several great restaurants -the closest to us is The Mason Jar -food truck, it's delicious, no doubts they will be busy! As well as The Millpond Restaurant, my favourite breakfast spot. Another place I'd recommend for those that are making the day trip is Haliburton Forest! So much to see & do this weekend and next - there is also a fundraiser for the Local Animal sanctuary Woodlands Wildlife Sanctuary on Friday. Oct 11th. I think the kids would especially love it as they will have an animal wildlife show.
I read some good news about an inspiring shelter for older dogs & I wish more shelters were like this... goals.
Muttville -check it out.. if I was in San Francisco, I'd adopt - Glinda or Giddy Up or Gomez or Hayride... Jojo too!
lol
Enjoy this day the Lord has made!
