Now and next- I hope not!
This cartoon was inspired by a comment made by an Anerican on instagram... It's not just me. What the f*ck is wrong with American right now & their priorities?
How can rallies be held with people wearing T-shirts with Swastikas, carrying torches - shouting hateful profanities about others in public - and this was called 'FREEDOM of Speech'- yet in California they want to prevent Cannabis from being displayed on T-shirts/hats, paraphernalia. Come on. Are you serious?
Yes, they are serious.. I read about it when I was in California. I'm hearing faint whispers of what some fear mongers might hope to see happen here when legalization arrives in a few months.
I can't imagine Canada would ever try to tell each other what we should and should not wear. Clothing is one way to express ourselves. I've seen some T- shirts that I might consider offensive- it's not the T- I find offensive- it's usually the person - and the choice they made to wear a T-shirt that I find offensive... even so- So? It's just a t shirt.
**I just read - this has failed! Yeeeeeye haw! & for exactly the reason I just mentioned FREEDOM of speech!!! The fact that it was discussed and then some- the time, and tax payers dollar- could have been used better else where.
I watched the talks yesterday on cannabis in Cananda -and have much drawing to do- The same was hinted but more so with advertisements- the best was to keep your kids safe- won't be from not letting them wear cannabis related T shirts- it will be if WE educate them on cannabis before hand.
I can't keep up with the cartoons I want to draw.. right now I'm more concerned with all the devastation across the USA. I have one friend in Florida who told me she was frightened, alone and could not leave. I've not heard from her since. ;( I think everyone needs to PULL together. All shades of human will be forced to help each other - and that always brings us closer. United we stand divided we fall... it's not just an American thing.
We watched Terra - again, my 3rd time by the man of my dreams -lol- I like to keep my imagination & curiosity fresh! IF I had a boyfriend he would be focused on saving the world like Yann. Watch it.. think about it. THINK. It's the least we can do- if we don't think we'll never change anything. You will also see the cave art on my list of things to see!
I read: The next bite of food you choose will determine your destiny.
I'm painting it today to put in our kitchen- mind & body & soul- I don't want to eat mindlessly ever again. I want to say thank you for every bite, especially if a body had to give it's life for my nourishment. Thinking about this- has me wanting to deal more with the thoughts of grapes than pigs, hee hee - fruit it is!
So- I will celebrate today- This cartoon does not look it will come true! Thank Goodness!!
Canada- were you paying attention? I hope so- it was just a waste of time. More soon on some of what was just decided OR trying to be decided regarding cannabis in Canada.
& Mushroom art- Mushrooms can save the planet- if we let them. Stay tooned.
