We have a new family member.. it does not have a name yet - hopefully today.. right now it's "AAAHHH! NO!!!".
Truthfully, when I first saw him (placed on my lap in a box) I was NOT impressed. I had resolved.. no more cats, it hurts when they go missing. & I was still grieving out last. Norm took it upon himself to bring home another, without asking... so it was not such a welcoming start & I almost said: NO! return it!! But - the way the dogs behaved was unbelievable - you would have thought Santa arrived and brought them, the best gift ever! It was once again, instant love between them and the kitten, Arrow again already smitten with this kitten, rarely leaves it alone. He is adorable, curious, playful - all the usual kitten stuff. I'll make his appointment to be fixed soon, like the last 2 and he is already spoiled, custom shelves, beds and like the last - eats DOG food, what ever I give the dogs (today - homemade chicken soup with sweet potatoes, carrots and rice) -it too eats, simplifies life for us all.

The dogs are funny and now noticing after 3 cats... they are kinda the same with each. Daisy seems to like it , smells it but more or less -could care less, she even lets it eat out of her food bowl, such a good patient old girl, our Daisy. Poppy likes to chase it occasionally and likes it when the kitten 'kneads her" (Poppy under the blanket) but lets it know - night time is Poppy snuggling time. Ginger can't stop watching it, chases it when it's bad, like when the kitten goes near the bird cage.. but she also likes it and shares her bed with it. Arrow - is in love again. Again, it is difficult to keep a kitten in with 4 dogs and a dog door, right now we keep the dog door mostly closed. We are trying to NOT let it out... I'm sure well be o.k. now until next spring. I have already accepted, in my mind - all I can do is love, feed, & care for this kitten/cat the best I can (& do), the rest is nature. I hope we have it a long natural life.
He is here & loved, that is all that matters... hopefully today we can figure out a name.
All creatures, great & small - The Lord God loves them all!
