Mushy Kewpie 5 x 7 gouache on black.
A little Kewpie on a foray, pointing out the Love' sporing from the mushroom (metallic spores).
This morning there was ice on the water bucket... it's official - cold weather on the way.
Time to bring in the bird bath and move the patio furniture out of the way of snow sliding off the roof.
Mark, who I follow on Instagram who has Parkinson's, has moved to France for the winter! I think it's just for the winter, it has me amazed at his bravery to travel, I was sad he has left his dog (with a good family) but I get it. If I only had Poppy, I too might be on a plane to warmer weather for a few months. Pain is escalated by the cold & damp with arthritis in particular. Where does one go, currently - Cuba? Nope. Florida.. nope.
What does it matter, wondering. I'm not leaving my girls for a few months, Arrow would be devastated and I would be always thinking of them. So I'm thinking of ways to extend warmer weather atmosphere if only inside, a few more plants in a good start. The only reason I'd want to vacation is not for the scenery - it's for heat & food. It's always exciting to experience new dishes, so I guess we'll try that here too! Albeit, I am in awe of those who get the courage to just get up and go! Another friend recently took off on an adventure with her dog to Nunavut! Holy polar bear, it amazed me and I was/am beyond thrilled for her, she needed a break and took it. Tomorrow is not promised. If you really want to go & can afford to go - Go!
I might want to vacation for a moment or two but then I realize how much I am loved and needed (if only by furry friend-lol) and the desire dissipates. I venture outside and never get bored with looking at trees, moss and even snow when we get it is beautiful, I' miss it if we didn't get it. The advantage of social media is we do get to experience much from the comfort of our sofa, new places, others adventures and new dishes! BTW, I made that chocolate bar, it melts very fast when you hold it but it's creamy, tasty good - so I don't 'hold it' for long anyhow. Nice to know, I can create a simple chocolate bar should the craving kick in.
Another was to escape for me is.... PAINT! Paint creatures, places & adventure all from my desk, I am grateful every encounter with my desk & for another day to give thanks and create more.
