It’s election day in Canada. Who’s going to win? Trudeau.
I’m glad & disappointed since Justin appears to no longer be for ‘ALL Canadians’, just the vaccinated.
I’ve been reading & there’s about 8 million Canadians still not vaccinated for many reasons. Before this all started I read an article on Justin Trudeau's brother being very much against the vaccine, I doubt he changed his mind, I wonder if he'll be invited to Thanksgiving dinner. It’s hopeful to read many of the vaccinated also think 'this decision', should be about choice not mandatory. Not about threats of losing your job. I’ve also been reading about lawsuits of wrongful dismissal stacking up. This is still about human rights, in case anyone forgot.
So the un vaccinated can’t go to restaurants, bars or clubs.. I’m sure they will come up with creative ways to continue to socialize & entertain themselves, that and they’ll save more money. I feel for restaurants forced to choose & lose business after such a long struggle. I wonder if they will even ask people for ‘Proof’… who has time in the restaurant business? The servers? Who already aren’t appreciated or paid enough. The chefs? They probably don’t care. The owners - will they turn business away?
What I don’t understand: if the vaccinated feel safe because they are vaccinated - then why worry about the unvaccinated? After all, it’s the unvaccinated that should worry since the vaccinated can still get & spread covid..
Talk about confusion. It’s an interesting journey all the same.
As soon as fall and October gets close, like many artists (just look at ‘Inktober’ on Instagram) I think monsters & pumpkins! Halloween, I guess from years of halloween overload it’s hard to ‘not think about. I still enjoy the classic movies, so it’s always enjoyable to paint Frankie, and my favourite which terrified me as a kid:
The creature from the black lagoon.
Happy election day… if you voted for Trudeau.
