M.A.I.D in Canada.. a difficult topic for many - that's part of the problem. MAID is being accused of corruption, tales of encouraging organ harvesting, patients be told "they are dying" instead of addressing the actual problem and helping them, many with conditions that are indeed treatable. Behaving 'sneakily', making difficult for family members to find out what's happening and more.. the most disturbing thing I've seen is an interview with Jordan Peterson and a woman who's investigating MAID and they have concluded - it is not 'painless' but the injections people are given paralyze them, so they are in fact drowning, suffocating silently. So - IF you know of anyone considering, speak to them, share.. educate them on the reality of MAID. I've known a few that have mentioned MAID, some dealing with serious, brutal, chronic pain, sometimes for years already. I myself have asked God: Why? My TN has escalated to the point, it never stops... some days I mostly nap', mostly because I end up being physically & emotionally drained. I was given a reply... "It's not about you." lol.
We are all here to teach other, compassion, understanding & love... some also teach how cruel they are - sooner or later they will be exposed and everyone will see who they are. At the end of MAID they warn and I believe it also to be true, sooner or later - we are all in the same situation - especially with death, when will you look into it? When your 11 year old asks to end their lives? It might be too late. They are a business. There are a few sites telling us by using MAID we are actually helping the Canadian economy - saving billions on our over burdened system - YIKES! in other words; Canada is struggling, we're too busy to help - kill yourself and save time & money. So much for Canada once known for an advanced HEALTH care system,' now considered around the world for 'what NOT to do'.
The doc ends by letting people know we love them. Perhaps we don't really know what people are feeling or thinking, perhaps they just need a gentle reminder: We all have a purpose, we all have an opportunity to help... It is our government that should actually be helping, when we read of people choosing death because they can't afford housing or groceries- that is shameful and a definite sign of a 'sick society.
Stick around, better options are being created. Speak up if anyone suggests this 'option' to you.
Demand what has been promised, what we pay our mega taxes (compared to other places in the world) for - HEALTH CARE, compassion and a pain free alternative for those already living a life full of pain. Chronic pain is difficult, I am sorry for any who feel this might be their only option, I am sorry for any who even get to the point that this becomes something to consider.. all I can think to say is: Seek God & Jesus, above all else, first..
regardless of your decision - at least you will know you are loved. We are here to serve - we serve by sharing so that others can make 'informed' decisions AS our government has PROVEN to not be as truthful.
If you are struggling and still here - thank you. You inspire more than you know.
