I'm creating a custom Betty Book for my mom , her 'all occasion' gift = painted into one and so far- it's turning out -TERRIFIC! It's painted FULL of love. Yesterday, with no power most of the day- I started painting by candle light.
I stopped doing Christmas, years ago - mostly because, it's rarely about Christ... I think my mom struggled the most with 'no gifts!', just looking around my homeI think.. my mom bought me that, my mom got me that on a trip.. most recently my mom & partner bought me paint (yay) for my birthday, and I am thankful. I also kinda stopped Birthdays, halloween- HELL ya. lol Really, I'd rather gift someone something very special (thoughtful) created with LOVE than buy them something because the calendar says so and usually not as thoughtful or expensive -because at Christmas we are expected to buy for all... Jesus does NOT want you deeper in debt over a HOLIDAY created by consumerism - I know. Remember that this Easter too - I actually saw a Talking Jesus Doll and if I had a grandchild, I'd be - well I'd probably create my own stuffed Jesus but this one would be in the Easter Basket! With a chocolate cross and yes, a spring BIKE if finances allowed. The best Easter gift ever, when I was a kid.. A Pink sparklie bike with things hanging from the handlebars, beads that made noise when you rode! A Bell & A Basket! No helmet required (I don't think they were even invented then) - those were the good old days... now kids get an iPad. ACTUALLY: Will rent an iPad... you will OWN nothing and be happy. < Building NEW tiny, crappy homes for people to rent... forever. Mega rich Landlords buying 15 minute cities for humans to live and rent - everything, forever. So, it turns out Gaza will be one of these new digital advanced cities... now that it's rubble and worth nothing, they got a deal on the land. Go figure, Hawaii, LA (soon), Toronto, New York, who knows at this point - we only know - anything is possible, at this point. Not only possible but anticipated (I get excited at the possibility!) Jesus is returning. More people believe in an Ai God before Jesus. That is the test.
