Let Food Be Thy Medicine! Or An apple a day helps keep the Dr. away... such simple advice.
If we'd only listen... real food, vegetables, no preservatives, chemicals, additives, colours - just plain & simple food!
A covid blessing was eating healthier, simpler and fresher. Making our own bread and simplifying recipes, using what was on hand because we couldn't pop out as easily & fast food became a limited option. It stuck, with me anyhow. My hunger to learn what's healthy and what's not has increased than my actual hunger. Processed meats are not healthy (including bacon), most prepared meals have ingredients that are not needed and it's all about spices! Does this men I'll never eat bacon.. probably not, as it's so good with pirogies and onions.. but I'm cutting back.
Spice up your Tea & your meals. Right now a cup with cinnamon, grated ginger, cayenne & honey & hot water awaits on my desk, at least one a day and then green tea for me, I only have one coffee a day. I've learned much from YouTubers, mostly professional, well known nutritionalists that are highly educated & EXPERIENCED in all things & lets not forget mushrooms - for body & mind. I've cut back on my anti-inflammatory medication as I started to experience an ache after I took two (at a time) to control pain - it helped hand pain but aggravated other areas.
I've also removed all sugar (except the occasional bit of honey) this means no more pecan maple scones (for now) they'll just become a 'special treat'. The one other thing I've done is switched to a savoury breakfast - nothing sweet - no waffles, pancakes or fruit smoothies. Eggs, meat, vegetables. So, we'll see.. but so far so good!

The Diary of a CEO had the guest Simon Mills and he talked about all sorts of options - including (of course) garlic.
The dogs don't mind when it smells via my pores so all is well.

Winter is around the corner and I'm determined to avoid watching this 'winters muffin top' become 'Aprils springs roll'.
Have a watch & try just one thing added to your routine, I have noticed a difference already, my psoriasis has calmed right down (thank God), not itchy or red, no more tingling in the morning as I get out of bed! Something is working.
I am up to 3!!! Three painting a day for my project (it's so enjoyable - I actually smile as I complete each one) and one for fun - like this toad above... no social media, not frustrated at Trump antics or triggered by too many other issues to mention. It IS important to take a break - a real break, I've been reading a lot about Generation Z (1997–2010)the first generation raised on cellphones and it is TERRIBLE. They are having such difficulty, their mind never gets to rest, the have high rates of depression... so there's this 'cell phone experiment) proving that in time, it has actually become harmful - why NOW regulations are being put into place.. too little, too late? Time will tell.. more on this topic soon. BUT - if you are a new parent of a little one - NO phones!!! Or KNOW, according to the facts & science, abundant research & statistics (like increased suicide & loss of attention span, to name but 2) you are not contributing to your own Childs well being.

Today is the first time in weeks I've been able to lift my left arm without pain, grateful for the scare that gave me kick in the ass for a health re-alignment.
Enjoy this day the Lord has made - go create something healthy in the kitchen.
