We had a couple of delicious chanterelle's this season, so tasty & lite and crispy.
I guess that's eat for the season, now I wait patiently for spring and dryads saddle -the first edible I usually find.
The American elections are soon and I don't have a clue who will win, or who is the better person for the job. Both are divided on several issues and both at times appear to be using the campaign as a spectacle to bash the other, what else is new? With our own politics, Trudeau might be the way to go, at this point at least he's already in office and seems to know the ins and outs.. it's not that I no longer care -it's that it all seems to be part of an agenda that will go forward regardless of the average Canadians opinion, as we've recently witnessed with immigration, which to be fair is a global concern at the moment. That won't change as long as other countries continue to be bombed and destroyed - they shall search for new homes, so would you.
Last week a former boyband heart throb passed (he jumped/fell from a balcony) and the headlines were:

turmoil recently, war is happening all over, Cuba is in the dark.. but shockwaves - about someone who passed from mental health issues. IT happens every hour of everyday and we never hear about the average person who plummets from a balcony but because he is a former idol' , shockwaves around the world were heard - phhhbt. It's always sad, especially for those closest to the person but it truly feels like a distraction from current crucial events. Or not brining attention to the real issue - depression and struggle, especially concerning younger adults who's current outlook is a bit bleak, can you blame them.
Lot's of talk about declining birthrates around the world, I believe I read Canada is considering paying for fertilization procedures. What a difficult decision to have children - yet- if it's meant to happen, God will see it happen. I think global education & support should start with babies being born and NOT being charged for them - like in some countries. I can't comprehend how Americans go in to have a baby and come home with a baby & thousands in debt - American politicians don't think that's a deterrent? Daily cost up, childcare costs up, education lacking -in 2027 they anticipate a serious shortage of educators in Canada (already hurting).. so there's more to consider than just welcoming a tiny human to the planet. Political priorities are mixed (fucked) up.. to prove it: I read about a male child murderer (USA) who is in prison and is having his sex change (full surgery) paid for by American taxes because he doesn't feel right in his body - he is also still considered a serious threat to society and himself... still - he is getting his surgery. No mention of the little life he took, he should lose ALL rights & suffer for his actions - not be awarded with a paid exchange. Cancer patients can't afford medication & treatment yet this child killer is being pampered, priorities are absolutely messed up. Will things be helped with the right politician, will they go in the right direction? Time will tell. No wonder some don't even have the energy to ponder politics, I gave it to God, as His will WILL be done, I'll pray the best human wins and makes a lasting positive difference - until then we can watch Donald dish out French fries!
