Brrrrr! - 18 this morning, currently.. the fireplace is going. it's cold but at least it's not on fire.
I'm excited today to paint this tiger and Jesus in the woods, Jesus in the woods has been all about layers -so far there's about 4 with drying time between each one about 10 minutes, I need to pick up a small hair drier for faster drying time. The tiger is all PLAY! The orange is about to POP on this black background.
Holy Hollywood. I know people near the fires and it's concerning, but they are all mature adults that can get themselves to safety, I hope. I was watching a video where a woman was saying they can see the fires, watch people flee- nursing homes wheeling patients down the streets & they are still expected to serve coffee (coffee shop). That's insanity, right there. It's not normal to keep working and watching as destruction is all around. I can only imagine the levels of PTSD going up by the minute. The back story from what I understand is also brutal - apparently the mayor cut funding for the fire department by a huge amount, so they can't contain it - even if they wanted to... they don't have the men or the $$. Stories of water being shut off - I'm not sure if there's any truth but that sounds messed up, if so.
I think EVERYONE should be paying attention to: The Insurance industry.
Imagine paying for decades - insurance (as we ALL do) only to have the insurance companies state: Oh, we're loosing TOO much money so well continue to take yours but were are eliminating 'fire protection. So all those who have paid into the illusion, are NOW f*cked. How s this legal? OR... unless your are super rich - to afford the insane insurance - you loose everything. I can't remember the article but I was reading someone famous (?) was paying over $150,000 for insurance in California. HOW does everyone NOT see - how wrong this is. Why is this permitted and can anyone NOT understand why people are getting tired of paying for insurance? I learned about insurance decades ago when a young girl died and they made her mom jump through hoops, a few times now I've witnessed this. These policies in California were cancelled just months before - which has some asking (again - just like Hawaii) is this intentional? Did they know this was coming - either way - it should be illegal. If they can cancel on a dime - our dime, what makes you think they won't.
No one wants to think this would be intentional, that would be cruel.
Do you know what was intentional and we're NOT reading about it here in Canada- go figure. All the internet cables being CUT , intentionally, in the ocean. The possibility of being cut off (if only for a while, a few weeks) seems to be getting closer to reality, I'm glad I like to read and have books. It will apparently disrupt - everything. Everything. I don't believe in fear mongering (like TRUMP) but I do believe in being prepared, if only mentally - as it's proven when you do consider such things, you eliminate the stress such events can bring about. Some are in just straight denial. There are so many young people who have never been without a phone & internet - daily... I think if we were cut off they will struggle the most.
So, about being cut off... we are cut off from world news, cut off from cables, cut off insurance policies, cut off from loved ones (lockdowns).. Do you know what we can NEVER be cut off from - Guess!?
Yep, I bet some of you guessed: Jesus! God's love for us.
The closer I feel to Jesus & God, the father - the farther I feel about being 'cut off'.
Actually, IF we are physically cut off - it will absolutely bring many closer to Jesus.
Some will come out of fear, which is to be expected. Better to be where you need to be because of LOVE.
