Hugging Kewpie, gouache on white 5 x 7 framed
Hugging Kewpie is a little statue, for Kewpie collectors. I was pondering stuff as I dusted stuff, trinkets. As I re arranged my own Kewpie set along with Disney trinkets I've acquired aver the decades. It's funny how stuff doesn't seem so spectacular, decades later. Some stuff has a layer of dust, usually the out of reach admired trinkets, a bucket of soapy water does the trick.. when I feel like dusting, only I rarely feel like dusting... I want to paint, not dust. How about you?
What's more important to you? How would you rather spend your valuable, limited time, admiring and dusting trinkets or participating in a hobby you enjoy, what's going to mean more at the end of your time, what you created or dusted? It's a bit of a conundrum, sure I like stuff but too much stuff is still in boxes in my basement, so I'm not interested in collecting more stuff. Anyhow.. this painting idea developed thinking about trinkets & the most important gift or trinket we can give to each other is love, time, patience... Teach Only Love, that is what we are.
