Hoppy Friday! What to bake on this wet, muggy summer day? Toad bread! O.k.... I am never baking normal bread again.
Toad bread was too easy, I smiled as it went in & came out, of the oven. Creativity, ingredients, enjoyment & tasty!
What's not to love about Toad bread? Perfect crusty humour as it is pouring outside an it's bit chilly at the moment so this brightens the day. Now we get to rip & dip the toads into tomato soup. :)
A very serious reminder today: PLEASE, take a moment to slice open chip bags when done. & Do not leave chips where your dog can reach them. Athene LOVES snacks, popcorn & especially chips, open a bag and there she is - Daisy did too. One or 2 is o.k but it's not good for them to have too much salt or chips (just like for us humans), Athene likes all kinds, all flavour so for sure: I will slice the empty bags right up the back. Someone in Ontario has shared to educate, she came home & found her dog dead, suffocated in a chip bag.. :(. & she knew, she's a vet tech., I know too, but forget. Now that I see how much this big baby girl likes chips, we will not leave the bag lying around & when empty - sliced open.
Slice them anyway, please. I have seen a video circulating, a baby cub swimming with one of those giant cheese ball containers stuck on its head. They removed it! Yay kind humans! Cats and dogs, foxes.. all sorts of animals have died by chip bags, please be a responsible consumer. Kibble bags too.
Time to paint a toad or two... Enjoy this day the Lord has made!
