Holy Thursday & my Christ on the Cross is finished! Jesus told me to make a point, when I was done'... more red paint because - the reality of the beating & murder of Jesus was far from "pretty".
Tomorrow is a very special Good Friday for too many reasons! Jesus is needed more than ever... I don't know how to convince anyone other than by sharing my own experiences. What I refuse to do (for my own peace) is waste one second with those who choose to 'battle & babble about something they know NOTHING about. Especially about The Bible or person called Jesus. Read it, then I'll be happy to discuss your opinions. A lesson was learned when someone decided to educate me on Christ.. a non believer. First Christ was attacked with a very condescending video, then me.. suddenly I was judged for not tolerating disrespect. Jesus was thrown in my face - I was not behaving 'like Jesus'... lol
Here's the power of The Lord: I educated her calmly & confidently... after she chose to tell me what she knows (or clearly does not know) about "a man named Jesus" & what He would and do and not do - I guess I was expected to tolerate her disrespect & uneducated opinion of Jesus, never reading the Bible.. come on. Nope. Jesus tells us not to argue with fools. It's not being cruel - it's protecting the peace of Christ I have in me.. It's knowing when to walk away knowing it's a 'Pearls before swine' lesson. There is nothing offensive, nasty or even intentional about what I said. I call it: I'd rather pray than petty, I'd rather play than prove. I'd rather paint, listen to podcasts, plan. garden in my head.. than get caught up in another's chaos.
Today is the last supper.. Jesus sharing a meal with his closest friends & confidants, knowing 'one' who sits at the table sharing a meal.. turns him in. He knew. Think about this for a second.. Jesus - had a friend, NOT some enemy' - A FRIEND who sold him out, literally. Friends are great BUT some 'friends' can & will bring you down, sell you out & walk away, when it suits them. Friends don't always celebrate our success - facts are, some friends resent it. Some friends aren't really friends at all, only if they think you can serve them. Serve God first, always & it will eliminate some confusion. My 'friend' learned quickly, who Jesus is to me. Judge ye not lest you be judged.
Who's opinion do you value more? A 'friend' or Jesus. It was actually laughable that she actually though she could sway me, enlighten me...it did, to move on.
He knew and he still broke bread... He knew what was coming and he still shared wine. I don't like to think about what's coming - how could he???
