Happy Snowy Saturday! Got snow? We do!!!
Gingerbread man Dick in the Box cards! Inspired by the SNL skit with Justin Timberlake - remember it?
It's no secret - Gingerbread people are my favourite to paint, bake & eat. Painting is easiest. This little guy cracked me up and I knew who would get these cards - before even complete. One for Amy Anonymous - she will absolutely appreciate it - heehee. When I watched this skit 'Live' way back when I remember laughing so much and my cousin called and we laughed more.
I paint 3 at a time! 2 to give and one to add to inventory... my gosh I realized I could have a tiny card shop. Painting cards brings joy. Try painting all these smiling faces without smiling. Art can lift you out of a bad mood! Being creative is what we were really create to do - no wonder time flies when creating fun. Then they inspired a craft. I'm not decorating, but I will make a festive decoration (one of a kind) just to add a hint of Christmas feel. I'll show you it next with step by step images in case you want to whip one up... are you ready for the season? Remember the reason? I've painted 3 types of cards this season: Jesus (A KING is born!), general Christmas/winter and 'Cheeky Christmas for those perhaps who don't believe (not my problem) and like a little giggle. Then I usually get into winter card mode, once snow has arrived after Christmas. HOLY SNOW! It snow all night and today will be spent digging out, it sure is beautiful Today we'll go out and take photos for reference - that and looking out the window. There is easily about 20 inches of snow on the roof, even the dogs are struggling a bit as no path's have been made so it is a work out trudging through the snow to pee. Today's todo.
I hope Gingy made you smile - I think the people that get him in the mail (whenever Canada Post decides to stop striking) will smile! Let the fun begin December & Snow are here!
Have a creative day! Paint some cards! Enjoy & spread Joy on this day, The Lord has made.
