September first! Not officially fall, still a mix of summer & fall in the forest and it's lovely!
I took my Tiki's off my deck wall and Storm placed them in the forest, a friend showed me his - in his forest and I thought: That's cool! lol & I also thought it would be a neat way to mark' say I see a fancy mushroom, I can then say to Storm: It's near the Green Tiki. So he put them all up... but didn't tell me where, so with exception of the 3 I carried out -I've been on my now Tiki hunt in the woods and it's been fun. We have already been out once (so far) today. No mosquitos! YAY!
I can smell the mushrooms getting ready to appear for fall! The smell of Pine and dirt this morning was sensational!
Returning home I know I can get a break and paint in peace, cause the pups are pooped. I reached a personal milestone this morning and have officially illustrated part of my project! Whew! The feeling of accomplishment has me inspired to refrain from social media, I did check out FB today, for some reasons I've been getting messages but I rarely go on and only a few even know I have an account. Truthfully, I get distracted and am not pleased with myself when I realize 2 hours of scrolling could have been better spent exploring, painting, baking, ball kicking, cleaning out my closet... looking for Tikis in the woods. I have a water bowl out there and noticed it's been empty the past few times & of course the dogs rush over to have a sip on our 1/2 mark for our journey, so I must remember to carry out water. I'm placing a camera to see who's drinking the water, it did not 'evaporate' over night.
