Happy Halloween. gouache bat on white
I drew this bat & painted it right side up.. because it was easier on the brain, but the image was upside down.
I've added some metallic glitter to his tiny wings, he definitely is happy.. halloween? Not so much.
Then I painted the cat below in metallic purple.... but was glad when done. It catches my Halloween mood' perfectly.I am over halloween, I'll admit, I do enjoy seeing all the pet costumes in particular & a few human creative concoctions but that's about it. No desire to trick or treat or hand out tricks or treats lol - good thing as not many bears trick or treat. Long gone are the costume parties & hundreds of 'guests' visit our haunted house. It' not until you are away 'from it', you can see how truly immersed in it, you were, good riddance. I do understand the trill, especially for kids- when I was a kid - halloween was a blast, and most of the best costumes were hand made! Now you can buy things not even imagined by most.
Will I be splurging on costumes for a few likes for the girls - not. BUT, I might come up with some homemade.. if I feel like it - maybe not. If they cooperate, probably not... albeit Poppy does like to wear hats. If out and about - have a spooktacular Halloween - don't eat too much JUNK & stay safe.. and keep pets safe and indoors too.
