Happy Easter! What's not to celebrate!? Jesus! Storm & I watched Passion of The Christ last night.. why does this movie get harder to watch? At least 6 times, I was crying.. I went to sleep and woke - thinking of Jesus. What a peaceful sleep it was.
We had lovely Easter with my mom and her partner.. I have to say (proudly) Storm cooked the entire meal, I did not even step into the kitchen and it was fantastic. My mom also made a side and brought deserts! Hallelujah! I gave my mom her "everything gift" Betty Boop! Below.. I don't do Christmas' gifts - if we had little ones I would (not a complete scrooge) and her birthday is in a week so I made her her favourite Betty Boop', a place for her keys, notes from her sweetie Geoffrey' & anything else. It was amusing watching her try to guess where the smaller parts went (as the magnets) are well hidden. She loved it, I know - she will use it, hang it where she can be reminded - it was created with LOVE, just for her. All the dogs - because I said "NO gifts for us, it's all about Jesus!!", they still all got a new squeakiest' for Easter. lol
Today - I start to add colour to Eden and I'm super excited.. not even sure 'who I'll start with - God or Adam.. I might leave God for last- Paint him in a glowing 'gold or shimmering white', definitely adding real gold leaf to God. The Lord will lead me. :) in total there are 40! 3 human and the rest critters most painting on the background! Including two that represent Jesus - 3 actually - can you guess? My mom was mesmerized - she of course gets' sneak peeks, daily. She also saw Noah for the first time, finished, and was thrilled. I'm going to have quite the collection! Guess what!? I have already sketched the next on wood- 3, one for me, one for a gift and one I might sell or gift - who knows. I do what the Lord instructs. :) This year I'll be focusing on The Holy word of God and creating it in ART! I want to praise God, the best way I know how.
Another Easter gift... In ALL these years- I have only ever caught Larry our gecko... (our 25 year old Gecko!!!) shedding his skin near the end'.. this morning I saw him circling his tank and inspected further and watching him start to shed his skin! He has risen - fresh and new this Easter morning! It was so neat to watch, he rubs agains rocks, a branch and the sand and eats it as it peels off. What more miracles will you show me today Lord??
Prayer, painting, peace & naps- on the agenda today! The dogs are already napping on this drizzly day.
Enjoy this day the lord has made, Jesus died for our sins -this doesn't mean it's o.k. to keep on sinning. I was thinking about how many of us have not thought of Jesus recently as we watched the devil surfacing in all forms of evil, in humans we 'believed in' & listen to or worse.. obey. We have ONE KING . Then. Now & ALWAYS. Praise Jesus!!
