Snow - Perfect for a day of painting Christmas cards!
That I won't mail.. funny not funny, Thanks again Canada post.
When I was little - I wanted to work for CANADA POST! What a great job, getting paid to walk around and deliver mail, say "good day!" (yes, I was a little naive) that being said - in my late teens & early 20's I had a friend who was a postal worker and he loved it! He explained then, they were not big on hiring women to deliver door to door for safety issues... and let me tell you - no matter how much we were all partying and having a great time (usually a group) he would always LEAVE and not dare miss a day off work - working for Canada Post was a job you did not want to lose. Great benefits, hours etc. Before I forget - some of you my age will remember him if you listened to Q107 in the 80s, he use to call in and pretend to be Indian, he could pull off the accent perfect & had the stereo typical mannerism, he made us laugh constantly, I doubt they'd let that happen now. It would be considered racist. Canada post NOW, on strike again, hurting many small businesses right when they can make the most - is extortion from Canada post. I get they don't want to work weekends- who does? But this manipulation of Canadians at Christmas because they know it effects us most is criminal. They are also a huge BUZZ kill for all simply wanting to share holiday wishes, joy & love.
People who insist: Stop the spread of misinformation!! A hot topic now, especially related to the vaccine. Do you say/think like this? Stop. I was reading a very interesting article about power, politics and persuasion - when you scream - stop misinformation spreading - you are encouraging the government to say: o.k. we will.
By stopping all information - unless it's information 'they' approve of. Freedom - once given' is almost impossible to get back. Think about what you are doing, please. Misinformation - let's use the most current example I can think of... I remember someone telling me, when it happened; The cops killed all the Indians sled dogs. I told someone else and their response was: OH! That's not true! Thats misinformation - just the Indians trying to stir shit up and get more money! I believed her and thought no more of it, and never said it again - believing, I would be spreading misinformation. It was manipulative and helped destroy a way of life not dependant on a corrupt government. I bet many when they first heard all the children buried at these residential schools -was just a rumour - just others "spreading misinformation". Talk about cruel on so many levels, poor dogs. Shame on them who told them to do so! OUR GOVERNMENT. So - so much for spreading misinformation.. People HELP educate us on LIES. How many times has misinformation been actually proven to be true information!? Too frigging many times to get into it- an old example now: Many nurses & doctors at one time in history were told to 'zip it!' They were said to be uneducated & they were said to be spreading misinformation by even suggesting surgeons actually wash their hands before operating on someone.
You know, I pray (literally) that the vaccine injury information I've been reading is misinformation - but then I see people who have lost loved ones, birth rates are declining rapidly and not just because of choice or those who are having severe medical issues now, cancer rates have sky rocketed... 'out of nowhere'. What might be considered misinformation today - could be fact tomorrow. BUT we will NEVER know the truth if others insist and the government actually listens.
Back to creating more Christmas cards! For those I can hand deliver... the bears are thrilled.
