Whew! Overcast this morning and MUGGY, I came in from our garden check & mini stroll, covered in a mist of sweat.. it's that muggy. I want to share more on my favourite feature and we'll be adding another next year! The Hotwire trellis!
My squash (seeds from a friend) are loving the trellis and growing exactly as I had hoped - up and over, fast now & covered with tiny squash! I hope to have large bounty to share with several. I've never seen this variety of squash, yellow with brown and green stripes -scrape out the seeds and bake and eat it all! Including the edible skin that reminded me of a tasty crunchy squash potato chip ;). Not coated in some wax from the store- yuk. It immediately became a favourite an we were having it at least twice a week - I was having it more. There are many tiny squash babies& love watching growing larger daily. My first set of mugs went fast! I made a few more, a limited edition as once these are gone, I'm not making more .
Today or tomorrow I'll be displaying them on social media and those that purchase will also be entered into a draw to win an original painting, which I'm painting today! A Toad mushroom stone!

Lastly, we watched & enjoyed The Call of the Wild -on Netflix. An animated & live action film with a dog & Harrison Ford. A family film. I recommend it -young or old , dog lovers in particular will enjoy it (also feeling sad a few times) but the story & animation was well done.
