Froggy Fishing. 8 x 8 gouache on water colour
Inspired again by Beatrix Potter.
I paint to offer Thanks to God, daily for the opportunity to do what I love in the setting I've always dreamed of.
God put me here & I will continue to create for the creator to say: Thank You.
This morning I started Psalms in The Bible.. a favourite line: Psalm 3:3
But you, O Lord, are the shield about me.
That's how I feel about God, a shield of the most powerful love, steadfast love - that endures forever.
Fall is here, simply seeing the sun through the leafless trees reminds me of Gods magnificent power, I was reminded of Job when God declares 'who turns the lakes to ice, mentions even the drops of dew, puts snow in the earth, guide the bear & her cubs... Enjoy this day the Lord has made.
Prayers also for all devastate by the storm down south, it's wild (literally) to see crocodiles swimming in the front yards of Floridians, Yikes. 148 dead from flooding in Nepal as well. The damage done - I can't imagine how they possibly recover, time will tell. The power of prayer - we sometimes have no idea of what people can accomplish in the face of devastation but they do recover, time and time again. I do know Prayer helps, it might not seem much to some but it's everything to God.
