Frog on a toad mushroom stone. Acrylic on foam board.  * My projects are ALL freehand. No tracing, no projectors - often no sketching - from mind to foam with a sharpie marker. Each item truly - one of a kind! Like you and me, it's how art should be.

This was made from blue foam board, recycled from one of Norms projects, because it's all dinged' up&  turning  it into stone - old stone was perfect! I love mushroom stones! Very cool art- from long ago.  Inspired by psilocybin mushrooms -  artists created to pay tribute to God, the universe, the creator.. & the mushrooms.  Before I continue, I was reminded today: for anyone so narrow minded to think "Mushrooms are for stoners"  (a while back, that person was me...lol)   The gentleman who introduced psilocybin to America after a 'trippy Trip'  was non other than Wall St., banker - Gordon Wasson. He was fascinating.. << click here to read a great article about him. So, there you go.. a banker business man - turned the world onto mushrooms after his story was shared with LIFE magazine. The experience changed his life for the better & made him a better man.  Not some hippie' stereo type that the Gov. created. Anyhow...

Mushroom stones are simple and I think look lovely in any garden so I made this one!. It is also my test subject, I'm going to watch and see how it holds out in the weather. It's as tall as me. Every single project is a learning process. Today - I tried the pink foam board and oh my - it cuts even better. I've made two smaller mushroom stones - just cut out and I have an idea for a big project so fun..I can hardly not stop what I'm doing to start. Art inspires & yes, I'll admit I do contribute some  of this enthusiasm to psilocybin. You know lately, some day seem harder than others to even start, especially after our daily does of Carneys lies or Trump turmoil... those day I microdose now.   I don't always paint when I microdose but I do think about painting. I prefer to just sit, enjoy the sun on my face, wind, leaves, dogs.. throw the all. God has provided and I am forever grateful, that's how I show it, enjoy it.

Learning about psilocybin is amazing - more fascinating than the cannabis journey, yet very similar. Psilocybin has been painted, carved, sketched in art since the beginning of time.  In ancient art paintings  Adam & Eve were not standing beside an apple tree but a giant tree of mushrooms. It NEVER says it's an apple, some historians think it's possibly pomegranate or mushroom.

Foamboard art is also light- so I can mail/ship it for less, it hangs on any wall with probably one of those taped hooks.   It's great for people to hold for photo ops,' it's rugged- if you drop it -as I have - it doesn't break. The possibilities are endless- oh I just thought of that project again! Yes, it's great to be excited to CREAT. I also have to mention my knee, no pain.. if anything it come when I stand too long -cutting foam!hahaha -in the same position, me & the tool take a break every 40 minutes. You do what makes you feel better - WITHOUT THE SERIOUS -SIDE EFFECTS. I take it when I FEEL like it, not because a bottle tells me to do so every few hours. Sometimes.. I go weeks, months without. Thank God for that Banker who shared his experience.

Well time to get back to it- I've already made some larger items, I share them next week - wait util you see this one - that I am creating - in my mind and I have the PERFECT spot for it! lol

Enjoy this day - This Weekend! The Lord has made!
