Forest path Saw 4.
I made this one more realistic, no crown on this frog. Progress in ones own art, makes you feel good every time. . Each attempt I've taken something I liked, to end up with the improved version - the next will have even more clover. All real mushrooms, turkey tail on a log and in my tea cup, Mmmmorel soon to be in my frying pan, the same with the chanterelle's. The handle has cool owl ears, had I been able to figure out 'how', I would have painted an owl... next time.
It was cold in the studio one day in particular, probably the -40 with the wind chill.. my hands - even with a heater were cold so I took a break and sketched some future paintings.
The sunshine yesterday was much appreciated but an illusion all the same. Come out & play it, it screams in brightness... I'll freeze 'yer nuts off, it whispers in the wind. hahaha. Cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey!! Do you know where that term comes from, I do. it's kinda neat & has to do with ships. Anyhow.. speaking of nuts falling off... Mr. KKitty is having his nuts removed today, no not from the cold but a vet. I believe in cat over population and bird declining population, I have all the cats spayed to avoid adding to the problem, we will attempt to make him an indoor trouble, I foresee this being next to impossible. Cat's don't last out here... lions, tigers and bears. Wolves, coyote & owls is more like it here in Canada. I do hope he calms down, he is a handful. He is very amusing but he has broken more in his short time than I think all other cats combined. He attacks the dogs, has made Arrow yelp' when he gets a bit too ruff' play fighting. He steals dog cookies, right out of the jar! He steals my twirling art off the hook in our living room and drags it away, to the point I have not hung anything there in a few days as I'm tire of him removing my art work, & scratching it as he tries to drag it to his perch. I'm taking this down'... like some kinda pussy critic. He's not a snuggler' he is a smuggler. He doesn't beg but does eat Daisys food, with Daisy, at the same time. Ginger would never allow such a thing!
Speaking of vets... support your privately owned vet.
Complaints from all over are coming in about over pricing at vets and also services rendered, not needed. There is a current Market Place investigation regarding Corporate Vets.. & how you can find out if your is one. I'm grateful my old vet warned me of this a while back, now we actively seek privately owned. Our pets are suffering for it, pet medications causing severe reactions even deaths being promoted _ now also being investigated, prescriptions have increased - prices too, vaccines being pushed for pets - sound familiar? Please educate yourself.

Great Private Veterinarians exist, I'm sure they are getting busier as more learn the truth behind their more expensive vet bills lately.
Hopefully after the news coverage and more people educating themselves changes will be made. It's difficult these days to be hopeful about corporate greed. Corporate grocery stores are literally ripping us off, proven and proven to still be happening... The post office, after costing Canadians in stress, and financial loss at their busiest season have been bailed out by a Billion. Phhhhbt. What gives Canadian consumers much faith in CORPORATE anything these days?
Especially corporate politicians, speaking of politicians... lol
No. Not today - I have paintings to paint & pups to play with a special tuna dinner to get ready for the nutless return.
& God to thank for the continued journey!
