I made my favourite comfort food and yes, it's fattening. It's from The Cartoonist cook book (1966) - my absolute favourite- when recipes were simpler but tastier! This dish, I can't keep around.. if it's in the fridge I eat it, until gone - breakfast lunch and dinner, if it's frozen it still doesn't last long and everyone is the same. My tunny is grumbling now, as I know there 2 servings in the freezer..lol today were making another favourite Chicken curry! I saw WE' as Storm does all the chopping, I get all the ingredients out - he chops, dices, slices and I thew it together! Team work. There are days, I simply won't cook due to arthritis, so I get help or help yourself. I've included the recipe below, if making for company include an Italian salad - some fresh bread - nom nom.
I was doing something yesterday and can't believe I actually thought: I'd take Doug Ford over Carney, any day. lol
I read some fantastic news: Brits are rebelling against Digital ID, yay.. Ironically as I read this, I've misplaced my phone (again) I'm not stressed, it's old, gets hot fast and dies quickly and I've been considering replacing it. I have been reading about new phones and I think I'm going back to of all things - a land line. The newest phones scan facial recognition, never turn off and announce your location at every moment, and that time (a couple of years ago) I went to use my cell phone & could perfectly hear a conversation of two women talking about a recipe - I tried to interact but they could not hear me- so there's that. Phones destroy our peace, people are expected to respond immediately, if NOT in a timely manner, no wonder people are exhausted. Many don't know what it's like to live without a phone attached at our hips (cancer causing too- look it up- how many people develop cancer where they carry their phone) maybe it's true- maybe it's not - Just like this Tylenol info by Trump.. EVEN if you don't like Trump - why would any pregnant mom even chance it??
Storm teases me, suggesting I'd go back to carrier pigeon if I could lol.
My 40 day social media fast proved a few things - to ME:
I drew OVER 40 illustrations for a book I'm working on for kids! The first 15 were hard but then -it flowed.
The first week off social media was difficult then it got easier every day - IF anything - I had a hard time going back on and have already thought -' frig.. who needs this?' I became obsessed with fall and forest exploring.
Less drama, less negative news, less triggers, less fear mongering. I researched what I want to learn about, became in control of my day'. I am aware of what's happening around the world NOT what social media or 'media' shows us, I enjoy reading about current happening. Speaking of - WHO the heck would want to be a politician right now? This guy in the UK - the crowds are starting to look like they want to linch him every appearance. People are chasing politicians in India and beating them as they try to walk the streets for lies and greed. I don't agree with physical violence, it's what they want - it will create an excuse for them to call out the national guard and insist on MORE rules for the unruly. It's a slippery slope.
By the way.. don't you think it's interesting Carney implies Canada Post has got to go - So does TRUMP about the American postal system (The United States Postal Service was established on July 26, 1775, making it 250 years old as of 2025.), Suddenly what has served us all, for centuries (Canada Post was founded on July 1, 1867, making it 158 years old as of 2025.) is no longer feasible.. Privatization here we come - higher prices too. AND if you don't have a digital ID you won't be able to access the service, wait & see, same with medical. Dear postal workers.. look for another job, Carney does not care. It is all part of The Agenda, watch & see.
I was also reading about and find it hard to believe.. I think in NewZeland, maybe it was Australia .. it's
been suggested they TAX (of course) for any empty rooms they have in their homes. This includes a home office. Claiming it's part of the housing crisis!? HOLY, does the government think we are all that stupid, are we to ignore - the housing problem they created with allowing insane rent increases? Rentovictions', making builds almost impossible & allowing more immigrants into our countries than we can house?
I really think it's inevitable... people will revolt.
Educate yourself... today take control of the direction you want your life to go- know and choose.
