The last of my Christmas cards is finished and ... sitting on a shelf waiting to be mailed.
This card was created for my girlfriend in Germany, we met many moons ago and instantly became friends and we have kept in touch with "hello's" on social media, letters and cards over the years... not this year - it will be late, probably.
Corinna has written a children's book, I'm not sure what it is about as my German is not that great and neither is her English. I think it's about daily life with 3 little sweet creatures (as pictured above) and Yoga -for kids. I hope it does well! I spent yesterday adding glitter to most of my cards. Old fashioned glitter & glue - not environment friendly but hey' neither are all these 'A lister elite' flying all over the world, I'm not gonna be 'guilted out for glitter, anymore.
A tiny bit of glitter is just what they needed to give them that Christmas sparkle!
Wow, the feeling of angst is growing on social media about Canada Post, songs, memes and outright calls to end the establishment - Canada Post. I get it, it's the fact that they also use the Christmas season to pull this stunt - it is extortion. How can you not feel bad for some of these small business that have been struggling & just hanging on since covid.. Christmas is the time they possibly get ahead or at least get caught up. Many are NOT buying, not shopping on line, I guess actually brick & mortar retailers might benefit from the strike, so be it. It should be a lesson to all - when they resume - as they will just before Christmas and we all have to scramble to wait in LONG lines to mail our packages - knowing it probably won't reach the destination in time. The added stress alone for many should be reason the Government steps in and ENDS it. Many 'posties' are struggling too! Many don't want to be striking and many also realize this stunt will be the start of the demise of Canada Post.. wait & see, that is not just my personal opinion but the opinion of many. When Amazon starts drone delivery - they are done. I'm pushing it, you think? I was reading Tesla robots will be available in about 2 -3 years and will probably run about $30,000. I could send it to the post office to wait in line.
Robots will be able to do all sort of things! I joked and posted: I'll get one to pick up the dog poop. 4 dogs live about 10 years... that's a lot of poop - worth $30,000 - perhaps. All kidding aside, I wonder what they can and will do. Elon says by 2030 we should be seeing them, he said - not long there will be more robots than humans... yay or yikes - exciting.
I like Elon Musk, the more I watch and listen and learn about him the more admiration, I have no doubts he will get humans to Mars in a few short years. I am also a fan of Joe Rogan, I listened to his Trump interview and Trump definitely has a frigging bully side but he also appears more 'thoughtful?'. Talk about a lesson for Americans who break the law to be paying attention to: Hunter Biden pardoned. Well - isn't that special. Do you have any inclination of the number of incarcerated in the USA for less serious offences? Like cannabis consumption? MESSED UP!
What an awakening all this is for all to witness, like the downfall of kiddy diddler Diddy and all his peeps escaping to other countries to try to 'escape judgement'. Ellen has even changed her appearance - go figure. What makes them think other countries want them? Time and Trump, will tell. I am excited for Trumps return, who knew? It's not just Trump this term that has me turning around but his 'team'. The talks of making America healthy again -would be a great start... I hope so. It was an interesting podcast - go listen.
Finishing up a bear today, watching more snow fall.
