Feeling Ducky! Paint job for a duck.
I was gifted this duck but one look and I knew he needed a paint job, the thinker was a little drab so I made him appear 'richer, fancier... duckier. & have passed him on - to make someone else smile. Not all canvas are flat, it's enjoyable to give an older, plainer object a new outlook. He can think better too, now. I know.
It's been raining and the forest has started to sprout mushrooms! yay! I'm going out later today to pick some fresh Dryad Saddle to sauté and have with our 'smash burgers tonight. It's best to pick when new, young, fresh as there are no bugs, yet. I can already smell the sweet cucumber scent! It's not one of the tastiest, like most mushrooms it can pick up the flavour of what ever you cook it in but I have no doubts it has health benefits probably not even fully known. Most mushrooms are good for the brain and why should this one be any exception.
Speaking of mushrooms - that's also what I'll be painting the next couple of days.. I have the backgrounds ready - now to add the Ontario mushrooms! The background(s) took me a day, today it's all about researching images, planning and adding a toad or frog or some tiny creature, what's a forest painting without a bug or snail or both!? The leaves are here - the shades of green stimulating to the eye and imagination. I can't believe it's already the end of May! It certainly has been a chilly start to this season. We haven't even had the desire to visit a garden store, I imagine this weekend will be busy! Better plant those veggies -cool or not. I've recently discovered a variety of cucumber salads online, so that will be a feature this year. Time to paint and mentally plan my garden - on canvas & outside - enjoy this day The Lord has made... explore nature to nurture you mind & body.
