Eve & the apple. Pomegranate, according to a few bible historians.. imagine, devoting your life to Bible Study - IF I knew then what I know now, I would have studied more. Women - the best advice I can offer any of you: READ the Bible & with the TRUE understanding, we are Gods creations and have been gifted, only what God could do:
The Power to knit a human in our womb (by the grace of God)
& then feed & nourish the child, naturally, from our breast.
& Naturally (mostly) know how to love and care for our most precious treasure.
Lessons to be learned! None of us is perfect or sinless but we sure can add to others suffering and our own, especially when we don't know, or pretend not to know God. God doesn't care about what or who we think we are - only if you are behaving Christ like and believing in His only son, who was indeed sinless, yet died for ours. Ours.. currently.
AND don't ever forget it Women, because if left to men, those 'in Power' in particular, have and will continue to keep 'women in their place', which usually means: under their thumb. Part of their possessions. God took a rib from Adams side because we were created for each other, to walk side by side in LOVE.. to go forth in love & multiply - it was ONLY after they ate the apple did God say Women and man would be different. Adam just happened to be made first. Too bad, maybe we would have more creative creature names than slug, bug, platypus. God gave us the gift of caring & creating humanity. Imagine if Eve hadn't eaten the apple and not seen how hairy Adam really was, or that he passed gas all the time, out both ends & never picked up after himself. They were both oblivious and all sinned eventually, equally. I bet Eve regretted her actions, lol. Popes have changed the bible to "lessen the appearance" of women and God's love for women.
Regret. When I was young and restless I'd state "I have no regrets!" & my actions were encouraged, of course.. looking back - mostly negative actions, luckily no one ever got hurt other then a hurt feeling, that's life. Maybe you think you have no regrets.. wait and see. They'll creep up on you later in life at the strangest moments - all lessons God will have us learn. IF you read the BIBLE - you'd understand quickly, God had regrets. Us. lol. Eve was only searching for wisdom, I doubt she'd do it in hindsight. Regret taught her well. Interestingly Wisdom is WOMAN in the bible, God tells us so.
I'm reading the Ethiopian Bible and noticed one word was added not in my KJV... yes, I smiled knowing that I knew.
Albeit it's a significant word at a prime moment. KJV Geneses 19 26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. O.k. Got it.. The Ethiopian Bible adds one word: Lot's wife looked back, longingly and she became a pillar of salt. Longingly. Longing in the dictionary means to want with desire, yearningly.
Not 'Horrified' at her community being destroyed... not 'terrified' that all she knew were being burnt not even Shocked at the magnitude of the Lords anger, in mere moments. That is a significant word at this pivotal moment. No wonder she turned into salt, clearly (with one word) she was already missing a life that led God to destroy the entire town, she was taking evil ways & memories with her.
Look forward with hope, faith & love.
I am loving reading both, another level of fascination for God unlocked! Seeking & Finding!
My painting yesterday tuned out better than anticipated, soon to be a set of 3, a lot of work for little paintings.
Jesus gave me a sign yesterday, more soon... he sure keeps me busy & on my toes. Amen
Enjoy this day the Lord has made. Women - READ your bible and SEE - KNOW what an AWESOME creation we are!
