It has begun! Quite a chill this morning, I love how my gouache stays moist in cooler months, ready for me anytime I sit at my desk. The leaves are changing and a few falling! Goodbye summer - hello fall!
There is information available for you to educate yourself.. all you have to do is take the time.
Are you not worth a few moments? Is your health not worth investigation? Do you want to live longer?
Happier, healthier and with less pain? Even if you are not in pain now, it might become and issue as it has for so many .. and you might be able to avoid it, without having numerous medications that you'll have to take for life, that come with often serious side effects leading to more issues. Because, I love humans in general, I'm going to share topics I've been reading about that some might be interested in, some you might want to look into yourself and share with your own loved ones... maybe they'll listen, maybe not.
I know from experience and arguing especially with Norm for over 3 decades, as well as family & friends.. many don't take the time or don't believe me. Not until months, years later when they read it in the 'press' or hear it on the news do they then believe. Like Nom and his cereal diet (sugar filled cereal for breakfast and bedtime snack for decades) & how bad it is for him... he's finally stopped, not because I told him to (YEARS ago) but because some documentary did. To Norm, I am clearly nothing but a nag. So be it. I don't even bother to share with him anymore - or a few others, I only get frustrated. You can lead a horse to water but you can not make him drink.
You can lead a human to knowledge but you can not make him think.
Maybe you're too exhausted, overwhelmed or don't think it's important.. all understandable, BUT educating yourself now might possibly prevent much suffering later. Do or don't - it's your CHOICE.
I am NOT a fan of golf courses or golf, for reasons some might remember shared on this blog over 10 ears ago now (seems like yesterday), since I lost a family member who died due to an accident on the golf course, I can hardly even LOOK at a golf course STILL, without feeling sadness and anger.
I have read several times now: Recent studies suggest that living near a golf course may increase the risk of developing Parkinson's disease, likely due to exposure to pesticides that can contaminate groundwater and drinking water. Specifically, those living within one mile of a golf course have been found to have a significantly higher risk compared to those living farther away. I think it must also affect regular players. IF you are a fan or live near a course.. research. When more information like this comes out, it might become difficult to move. Perhaps something good will come of this and golf courses will be forced to become 'healthier for the wealthier', who can afford to golf.
Until then - is that hole in one worth it? Ask someone with Parkinson's.
Time to create something beautiful!
Enjoy this day the Lord has made.
