On the desk this Easter Monday.. a creative mess and more!
I've started adding colour to Eden, I realized my least favourite step.. black edges, only because it's messy but it make the final work look complete- the same when people paint canvas.. I prefer edges done, so now it's a habit I've gotten into. My entire desk gets messy with this stage and I will strip and clean it and put down a (dog pee pads make great surfaces I can use and then my dogs can too, after I am done. lol) mat before I continue with starting to paint it all.
O.k. snow.. I'm ready for you to go... that being said a friend told me they only had 3 inches all winter and that doesn't sound good, coming into our summers, so I'm o.k. with all the snow we had and know it will probably be gone by next week. I have growth on my desk.. no seedling better! Cordyceps is a genus of fungi that includes over 260 species, many of which are parasitic on insects and other arthropods. These fungi have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for over 1,500 years... and Storm has them growing on my desk! So cool watching them raise up to the sky. I noticed them in the dark especially. Last year we also had many wine caps Storm put in the garden amongst the vegetables and it's really enjoyable seeing them come up amongst the tomatoes, and they do - the entire summer. You never know when you can have mushrooms for dinner! Cordyceps in particular fascinate me as some take over the minds of bugs & ants - hijack them and then grow out of them - it's wild to see -thankfully NOW there are several examples on line to witness the miracle of this fungi. Research them- Chinese medicine has used them forever.. apparently known for increasing energy (big for sports enthusiasts), suggests they slow aging and enhance mental clarity. I know lions mane makes me feel more energetic. Last week we had oyster mushrooms Storm grew (from his mushroom workshop he does) and I could hardly contain myself from eating them all, I preferred them over the meat many meals.
Boy oh Boy Pierre is making the podcast rounds.. another new one today - as much as I appreciated his Christ is Risen! Hallelujah! With all these cross overs - now the media is suggesting more (not that I believe what they say) crossing over to SCARNEY - so tell me... What IS the fucking point of voting?! AND do you know who should be screaming the loudest- other politicians. Yes, we have lost hope in a failing system. It's all over social media- Voting in Canada is like writing to Santa. We the people VOTE them in! We support - mentally & financially, emotionally and then once in, THEY switch?
So much for our support. Forget it. I'm done voting in the puppet show, even if I like Pierre.
I do not believe in voting anymore because of their recent turncoat actions. I can't get over those women calling him "Scarney" - to combine "sexy and carney" and I want to vomit at the mention - and him giggling, the showman he is. I wonder how his wife appreciated the "Scarney" comment. You rarely see her.. maybe she's busy visiting her bestie, her childhood pal, in prison. Did you see Donalds Easter message?
