I'm currently doing a lot of sketching & it's simply relaxing... a back to basics sort of thing. Cartooning too, I almost forgot how cool to create characters and show emotions and have fun with it! There's so many different styles & techniques now (and AI) that drawing, especially if you don't know how to draw, it can prove to be disheartening before one even starts. My advice would be to turn off social media and open a drawing book! Sitting with books relaxing helps one see details and become inspired instead of intimidated. I have a collection of Disney Art books - I love to just linger on the pages looking at styles, colours and background art. Old school art. I specifically am amazed at character design & evolution. Early images of the seven dwarfs for example, are nothing like what ended up on the screen but that's how it starts.
I'll be busy for at least a month after further calculation and that's with hopefully 2 drawings a day and painting! In between I take breaks usually with warm up paintings, I'm painting warm up bookmarks, that I'll probably give to friend throughout the year. I also painted a large banner above for a little friend, we share the same birthdate, I made one last year- it was very neat to see how they enjoyed colouring it at her birthday party & I might add - did a fantastic job!
I painted even more details for this years banner, I painted my backyard - more or less.
Keeping actively creative is one of the best things you can do for your brain! A creative projects keeps your mind from wandering and focusing on things that there's no point focusing on - like politics. I was thrilled to read RFK Jr. put a hold on the yearly vaccine for the flu.. an interesting article said people die every year from it regardless, same as covid - it didn't stop it' from spreading - who's to say the same thing isn't happening still. No one, because they don't test for that, instead they continue to pump poisons into bodies they really have VERY little understanding about. I was shared an article about methotrexate -how harmful it is: Serious toxicity from methotrexate may affect the lungs, liver, skin, and bone marrow [1,2,8-11]. Well, thanks captain hindsight! After I injected myself with it for years with NO results other than making physically ill once a week... all with a Dr.s advice & recommendation.
Things change as we learn more and that's kinda o.k. with some things BUT NOT with things PLACED in our body.
Before you roll your eyes.. here's a reminder of something once thought SAFE and baby friendly: BABY POWDER.
Once used to powder a tiny baby bottom or ours, I remember the girls locker room in highschool - everyone had their bottle of baby powder, the fine mist in the room could not be ignored, even if it wasn't yours. It has been proven 'they' (J & Johnson) knew about its deadly toxicity long before they pulled it from shelves. It's still on some shelves, if I had to guess. So the next time you 'roll your eyes' at someone 'trying' to warn about vaccine harm, remember that one example (one of thousands)- soon to be a hit movie, just like they did with OXY. We constant watch now - glorified on the big screen - legal lies that have indeed turned deadly, too many times. To think it won't keep happening is definitely denial.
Time to paint! Have a creative day and thank the Universe for those who dare to think that things are not as safe as they seem- they save lives with their rants.
