I wanted to paint something special in my new painting space.. my homeboy emerged.

It is when I am at my most tired and grumpy... there He is lifting me out of the dark well & making me smile. My imagined Jesus - I did not look at anything when painting Him I just enjoyed myself and expressed LOVE. Thought about good times & people. I WAS in the MOMENT. I was in the NOW, THEN. hahaha.
Before I knew it I was sketching with a brush Jesus in the garden - the original HOME grown homeboy -hee hee- growing Gods' medicine. Cannabis is mentioned in the Bible fyi. I added some tattoos because Jesus would be and everyday kinda man don't you think? I doubt a suit & tie guy. ;) and will still add more as I go along, when ever the desire strikes me. Inspires me. Lights my spark. Celebrating with Jesus because there is much to celebrate here in Canada! Other than excessive packaging and shortages.. and Visually BORING packaging. lol
I love Jesus, 'No' -I'm not religious... just as some love and are followers of The Kardashians (ugh), Brad Pit, Iron man. etc... I love Jesus. He is my homeboy, rock star.. positive role model. As real to me as buddha to others - he makes me want to be a better person and yes, I feel him close to me several times during my life when I needed him most. Thank God.
Therefore HE is my saviour more times than I can count.
Someone e mailed 'they don't bother to pray because they're not sure they still believe'.
I responded: If I lose my faith I lose everything. I also believe 'Prayer changes things.
We should never hate anyone simply for who they love, admire or put faith in.. the power of prayer will have this guy know hell. This 'MOST recent' shooter in the USA was hate filled fuelled by TRUMP, anyone who denies this is in the dark! Turn on some fuckng lights - the light inside of each of us... the spark- is LOVE & It can outshine Hate easily.
Light the spark - GO VOTE.
Want to see some looks of horror & disgust - wear a 'Make American Great Again' hat in Canada. Hopefully it's just a - in poor taste costume.
