Desk Decor!
I spend a great deal of time at my desk, and I like to surround it & me, with things that are pleasing & inspiring... the other day I received some sunshine in a box! These sweet little animal containers 'American Bisque' designed for small plants -currently used for pencils & paint brushes! It was also perfect timing, a birthday bonus for sure. My brushes were all getting damaged, I had too many shoved in the container - Kermit, now organized by size and type - easy to grab and adorable to look at. I might get a couple of tiny succulents in the spring as I'd like to have one on my kitchen & bedroom windows.
They immediately remind me of Porky Pig & Warner Brother cartoons. AND - as a bonus they were wrapped in a stunning wrap, I'm pretty sure it's cashmere. I met John via instagram, I guess that is how many 'friends' are now made, via social media or dating app.. which I am not on, lol (and never plan on it), anyway it was very kind and considerate & I appreciate it very much - it inspired me to clean my desk right away! John also sent me the coolest mobile, it hangs above my work desk and occasionally - I've seen Mr. Kitty give it a spin!
I'm still working on Pooh & Piglet- lots of detail & I'm taking my time. I can't find my phone so I guess I've given it up for lent. I didn't give anything up as I don't know what? I don't do anything 'enough' to give it up.. everything in moderation, don't drink, no cocaine (heehee), don't eat chocolate enough to consider it - a worthy loss.. so instead I'll fast once a week and pray daily, which I do & continue to read my bible daily - which I do. I might do the opposite -instead of giving up- I will paint 3 Jesus cards a day as my warm up & my collection grows!
I was reading the future of Canada Post today - here it comes ready or not... wait & see, if I am correct..
Denmark is no longer going to be delivering mail, post - they will even refund peoples stamps - sadly a great many jobs will soon be gone. Canada Post employees better prepare themselves, start looking now for your new job! Lo & behold... Trump wants to do the same, more or less -privatize post. Canada Post won't be far behind - if not already being 'worked in the wings'. How will I send my cards? Time will tell... drone? Dogsled? Pigeon? Will a card cost a lot more? Probably, everything is costing more so why should this be an exception.
