Daisy & Athene.. everyone loves Daisy & Daisy loves everyone.
Athene wants to nap and usually it's beside Daisy. Daisy also shares her food bowl with the pup (as she did with Arrow)
and shows great patience. Teaching them to share a bowl teaches them, it's NOT o.k. to fight over food, they also have their own dishes, another thing I do worth mentioning - when I feed Athene I put my hand in her bowl when I give it to her, sometimes taking a bit and giving it to her by hand first. I will also take a bone from her or toy on a regular basis - to teach her - snapping at who takes the toy - not permitted. It's been a week today & she is already whining by the door to go out to pee! YAY!!! This tiny new beast is proving to be a quick learner.
They also look alike, Daisy definitely has Rotweiller in her. It's been bittersweet, our first walk outside Daisy & Athene side by side but Daisy's back legs occasionally drag & it teared me up. I know Daisy is our oldest dog now and dogs don't live nearly long enough but it doesn't make it any easier. I'm so happy she is here and teaching this pup patience, sharing, snuggling and the occasional growl when she gets tired of it pulling on her bandana. Daisy is a great babysitter & big sister. I hope by the time spring/summer arrives she's still able to walk the trails with us, last year she was a little slow but that's o.k., it's an excuse for us to sit wait & ponder the woods & life.
Canada won the hockey game ! YAY! Sorry USA - but thank you, no doubt your antics of late gave team Canada the inspiration it needed to WIN! I saw a clip this morning of an irate USA fan screaming "all Canadians are good for is maple syrup & beer!" (hahaha) and evidently, hockey! I've been quiet about Trump, what is there to say? Between him and Elon - like 2 bulls in the USA government china shop, I'm not sure why some Americans are so upset - he appears to be doing what he said: exposing corruption in the government. That being said, I'm not aware of all he is doing - the4e's so much happening around the world I can hardly keep up. Some things they have exposed already & I do understand the anger- crazy funding for insane things, tax payers dollar spent yet many can't afford to feed themselves but the USA government has funded studies with feeding cats - cat meat. Messed up, that's one of many, 'no wieners' in the girls bathroom - as far as I'm concerned that should never have even been an issue, I'm glad he has turned the tables. Also no men in women's sports. It would be o.k. if predators didn't exist but they obviously do, as we have all seen the past few years so why make it 'easier' for them? Elon and his young wizards- who cares how old there are? There have always been 'child prodigies' which have been celebrated and you can bet if he chose them - they absolutely KNOW what they are doing.
As for our own politics, Pierre seems to fallen out of favour.. another election, more $$$ and we are in the same situation, many struggling but government spending is at an all time high. Between this snow, the sneezing season, our economy - many just don't care. It's an advantage' our government has - it wears us down, just like an abusive relationship, we get so tired we just 'shut up' instead of arguing all the time... we can't afford to. Never mind shut up' when are Canadians going to Speak up' - say enough is enough? Time will tell. About the sneezing season - take care, the past few days almost all I have communicate with are sick. I watched a disease specialist on TED talks and he said 30% less people would get sick - if they only washed their hands. 30% - that's a big enough percentage to encourage - WASH your hands.
