My Christmas Cards went out! Yay! Some have received them already! 'That's early' you may be thinking, especially my American friends celebrating 'Thanks Giving! But this is Canada & we can't trust Canada Post, can we... they have proven the past few years... a Christmas strike is a new holiday tradition! FTR.. It's the Corporation, those who will actually NEVER deliver a letter, in their lifetime that are actually messing things up, IOM... not the actual Postal WORKERS.
The cards have been well received, one couple said they had a really good laugh (I knew they would, I laugh when I painted it) that was the plan. To brighten someones day with a card & a smile. That is the Gift, The Lord has given ME!
Storm liked his too. I tried to personalize each Gingerbread with a few simple details that reflect the recipient.
Storm is wearing his company Logo, on a Foray, smoking a cigar, using a beaker to do science stuff!
Someone just mentioned Marco Renda, a mutual friend of ours that has passed... wild, as I was thinking just yesterday, if Marco was still here... I'd gingerbread him! He would be a perfect character to cookie. In his Mexico shorts, huge grin & cocktail (with umbrella), on a beach, surrounded by Bongs. I miss him too. I also thought of my friend Marie - the would have been the gingerbread stripper.
I still have a list! I'll 'bake' my gingerbreads - until I'm tired of them, at least 5 more people are still being gingerbreaded this year! Possibly 10. This was truly an enjoyed experience, especially as I thought of Noel in is jeans that he wears up so high' (forever) lol, his wife said 'I nailed it' and Storm laughed out loud. The power of a drawing. As you might have noticed they all SPARKLE & shine, if you can't sparkle up Christmas, when can you??
They ALL say on the inside: Merry CHRISTMAS! & Thank you for being a 'shining' example! (of human Beings)

I'm going to try to encourage bartering, we pay enough taxes.
