Poppy LOVES chicks.. she is obsessed. This photo made me lol I didn't even realize she was in it until I looked later.
We only raise egg chickens, I don't want to raise them to eat them. The dogs on the other hand have a natural instinct to chase chickens, we have lost a total of 3 birds to the dogs - each time is heart breaking. I don't understand why they single out certain birds, if they could eat our rooster -they would! When he goes off at 3 a.m. I understand why they single him out - lol I am grateful for the experience of seeing chicks hatch! Every school should hatch eggs. Kids would eat less chicken I think. I can't even look at a pack of chicken wings in particular without feeling guilty. We stopped buying them... our meat consumption has reduced drastically, thanks to the farm. Sharing is educating - perhaps when I share it might make others ponder before they decide... the goats might be going. Yes, they are amusing but also bossy! At times they literally SCREAM for attention - I had no idea they were so vocal. Indica is also a big bully at times - if I take a treat in he'll jump up and take it out of my hands. He's almost knocked me over a few times, accidentally. He's tried to knock over the dogs and sent them rolling a few times. The gift of seeing an unexpected goat born "Nugget" is something I'll always appreciate but I don't plan on adding them to curry. Nor do we milk the goats.. although I wish I had tried'. Coming into another winter, we're pondering giving the goats to a friend with a huge farm. So, if you're considering goats- if we had kids to help, we'd keep them but currently they are just lovely visual, eating, screaming machines. lol. Time will tell. I've already decided NOT to feel bad about whatever I decide as we have provided these goats with a lovely life of leisure. Chickens - YES! All visitors go home with fresh, organic happy chicken eggs! We have 11 chickens at different stages only 3 lay eggs currently next spring they all should. Everyone should have at least 3. Be kind to your chickens and they shall reward you with love. I am amazed how each full grown bird has provided us with an egg EVERY day since we got them, isn't life amazing? This has been the best experience of my life- farm life. I appreciate farmers so much MORE - they work hard and should be rewarded. I'm painting several chicken portraits- go figure. A friend told me a joke it goes something like this: A chicken & a duck were standing on the side of the road.. the duck says: I'm gonna cross. The chicken replies: For the love of God don't! They'll never stop talking about it!! :) Time for the 'first selfie' - a painted portrait. Want to learn about yourself - paint yourself.
Paint all your imperfections. Or paint yourself beautiful - it's the artists rendition afterall. It was difficult - painting faces is difficult. I can imagine all sorts of images but to see the person and put them on canvas.. is quite the different challenge. We were walking in the snow the girls & I, Poppy in my coat where she is most content, the othes run up ahead, she wants to be snuggled with mom & I'm glad. It's been snowing - each time it snows is more beautiful than the last- snow. It's brisk to say the least in the mornings here.. we have the thermostat set to 15. Weeee! You sure learn how to master the wood stove pretty quickly to get it roarin' first thing... puts a smile on my face every time - I've already accomplished a major task - before coffee, a perfect way to start the day. Later today I'm adding details to a decoration ready for you to download next! A cannabis friendly Christmas ornament for those that wish to colour it themselves or a downloadable color version to cut, glue & hang in the tree! Portraits to paint and ornaments too, bluejays to study & it appears there's not enough hours in the day lately. Amen. In a few more days the days start getting longer& lighter again... Already - Wooo Hooo! Happy Holiday season. With TLC & THC Georgia Chances are you've heard it already! Start Low & Go Slow.
Yes, I agree - it's the way to go when first trying edibles. Tis the season & Legal edibles are available! Co doubts a few will make it into stocking stuffers this year & treats on the desert table. Clearly marked (I hope) if any children are around - to ensure they do not get intot treats they should not. The variety & creativity is at an all time high! I'm doing a little extra baking myself - for myself for the holidays. Ho Ho Ho.. I don't start low. ;) I know what to expect from edibles & HOPE to achieve. Cold damp weather- edibles help with pain on these cold winter days.. no longer a hot toddy for me (alcohol free) - I'll take a medicated carrot cupcake, thanks! Meet the Edibles- the newest gingerbread to grace the season! Just a friendly little reminder: Start Low & Go slow! I've also noticed an increas of radio commercials - about Drugged driving - with a test that will detect saliva for traces of cannabis & cocaine.. NO permission is needed for this sample- you must provide. I agree with this also - IF you feel or ARE IMPAIRED by anthing... PLEASE stay off the roads. For your own sake & the sake of others. Just a week ago an accident not far from here, clainmed a life. A father of three. Whats more important than getting HIGH? Looking after your health . For those acustomed to edibles: Hi Ho! Here we go! Have fun & enjoy. While painting this Poppy decided to jump up on my desk! First time ever.. she wanted to snuggle, that we did. Time to put up the tree & focus on a few christmas cards before I start the next panting. with TLC & THC Me. We drove up to see the property... now that is legally ours, to do a bit of measuring.
Norm has to build a kennel attached to the house as soon as possible - the first day up there he has to install a dog door and add a contained covered kennel no dogs can escape or no creatures can enter, I am designing it today.... I'll be distracted with all the moving & can't stress about the girls wandering off. We included Ginger & Poppy on our visit to see their new home - commenting before we left "I'll leave Daisy till next time in case she sees a deer & takes off". Norm remarked "you're pushing it George - expecting to see a deer your first day..." (snicker). I ignored him. When we arrived I hopped out of the truck & said let's walk our NEW driveway girls for the FIRST TIME! Wheeeeee - they quickly behind me run up ahead a few feet - the sun was shining - patches on sunlight danced on the driveway, I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful day... then they both stopped - I looked at the girls to see they froze & were both looking in the same direction - I looked up and there she was! A huge beautiful Doe looking me as if to say "Oh... hello. " I froze like a deer in the headlights - our eyes locked. It was love at first sight. lol They started to move I said "Don't dare... " looked up & the deer was gone. Just like that- I then realized (of course) I had my iPad in my hands - Arrrgh. No matter - it was the moment. God welcomed me home. Or agent -when I said 'I saw my first deer!!" said soon you'll say - oh it's just another dammed deer.. (lol - I take it he's seen a few) & warned me to be careful as he has hit a few in all the years he's been up there. Elated I said "I can't wait to see a bear!" his reply - YES, you can... & then proceeded to tell me about the time the bear attacked his son. Cowabunga- I needed to hear it- I was already walking the woods- la de da...- Norm has no clue where I was.. lol I will be investing in a air horn & bear spray & promised NOT to feed. Our agent said what helped save his son was he had the common sense (while a bear was biting him) to push his truck alarm & frightened the bear - He is lucky to be alive from what I heard. So, no - I won't be encouraging any bears to pose for a portrait. Norm & I are both tired- Norm more so - on top of things he rescued 2 baby -viscous behaving- raccoons off the roof, they look yesterday like they were going to pass out from heat. look thin & dehydrated -I've seen them a week- no mom in sight. ;( I ffed them- they ate it all- bananas, smoked salmon (all I had at the time) lol - almond butter & cherries! All the food was gone this morning- I'm waiting for animal control to Pick them up. It's time to pack!! Want to see my backyard? A few photos below - we need to build a new deck and spruce it up a bit - nothing we can't handle- Oh - where to hand my tiki?? All I could think about was that deer - & NOW anytime that stress anxiety kicks in b-I think of that deer waiting to welcome me home join me for coffee. I painted it - I had too - just a small one- for me to remember that moment - God sent the perfect welcome wagon. Dreams come true- have faith. With TLC & THC Georgia Next the trash pandas portrait & free coloring sheet to DL, found while packing. What a lovely day I had.. pretty much.
The girls and I had a great day, relaxing, stress free with breaks of fun as we watched the snow and kept warm. I painted and painted some more! Several phone calls, e mail and messages - including from a friend I've not heard from in years - from Canada , the USA, Australia & Norway I felt the love today, thank you. I treated myself to a painting off Poppy - almost complete. If captioned it would say: What's good enough for Queen Victoria is good enough for Princess Poppy. True... Poppy feels the cold as I do and stays in bed some days- she likes me to blow a little bud in her face these days.... she holds her face to me as I exhale in her direction with that sweet little squint "me too mom!" 55.. big deal, nothings changed but the date on the calendar. It's my birthday, Torontos birthday too! Sure I celebrated & if (by the grace of God) I wake up tomorrow - I'm going to celebrate all over again - even better- lol - It's my birthday week and I make the rules. It's a fun day to imagine all your wildest dreams- I have mine down to the details now a bungalow on a couple of acres- with a long hallway to throw the balls for the girls during the Canadian winters - lol - It amuses me my first priority in a house is something my dogs will enjoy. It's good to have goals. with TLC & THC George -a. Before I went to bed last night I decided to paint Poppy. I've decided it's time to paint my girls... can't find Poppy? look under a blanket! Poppy has trained us to never just flop down ona chair if there is a blankey on it- chances are - she is under it... I'm missing her this COLD winter- I hardly "see' her as she moves from blanket to blanket but when it comes to naps- she' is there! It's due to Ginger I understand how special poppy has alwasy been- she's never been like Ginger who is anon stop source of amusement & is cosntantly into things... Ginger is the kid you know to 'GO look and see what they are up to' - when things get too quiet. lol Poppy was sent from God to be my constant companion & official service dog. I doubt I woul dhav went to California withouther & am so grateful for that adventure with her. Storm calls her 'Poppy the Grey' like a little wizard wrapped in her blanket - just peeking out enough to keep a watchful eye on all thats going on. 3 planes, countless hospital visits, restaurants, movie theatres, boats, china shops (lol - no bull) & even the Getty museum in CA & if I could I'd take her to see the caves with me in France.. mentally we've alredy been, I've been so blessed to have this tiny friend with me & hope she's here much longer. Daisy had a lump on her neck- the vet was'nt worried and estimated $700 -to $1,300 for a to have it drained but it did not seem to 'bother' her so we decided to keep an eye on it... a couple of week ago I though screw it, it's getting bigger - called the vet to take her in but due to the extreme cold I was NOT walking - so we waited- & sure enough it popped and we had to clean it- DUE to watching Botched surgeries on Netflix (we both joked about this) - we were not 'too grossed out' & cleaned it out. Daisy never even winced when we cleaned it - the vidoe we took to show Storm would make some want to vomit. Think about it, not being fazed due to watching those shows no wonder violence is where it is at, video games not responsible for increased vioence? Gun rampages in the USA a common occurance NOW. You get 'use to seeing things' & it doesn't bother you as much... will anyone ever be held accountable? Nope. If I had younger children I'd be more aware of what they are watching and limiting violence, I was reading they are considering (I think it was Germany) banning children from under 14 for having cell phones, I agree. I regret watching all the terrible, violent movies we watched - I wish these were decisions would be made later - when kids reach a certian age - like letting little boys decide for themselves at the age of 18 if they want to be circumcised. I think it should be law after learning about this topic & OUTLAW female genital mutilation - 'female circumcision'. I DID binge watch DIRTY JOHN - yikes. Based on TRUE story Ladies -please, pay attention & romance fraude is on the rise with people over 50 in Canada. I have to say I found it upsetting & I know women who who have all had this happen to some degree. I had my own online expecience with a compulsive liar & dick picts. that made me ill - the stress alone it added was bullshit, I still lose sleep over it. I won't spoil it but really listen to what she hears while in the bathroom in the last episode. Sad times for oline dating days ahead... KNOWLEDGE is power - and safety. I'll get a new DOG long before I'll get a new husband. & now the Amazon guy - another dick pick - OMgosh - I loose ALL respect for men when I read this crap - some role models we have ruled & destoyed by their OWN penis. No wonder the world is in the shape it is in... No wonder I love dogs. Time to get under a blanket & sunggle. It's family day! A holday in ontario - enjoy the time with your kids if you got em' & your pets. With TLC & THC G & this... this beast below - is a BLOG all her own! lol
With times like Trump... Lest we forget.
War - what is is good for - death, pain, suffering, loss... heart ache. If I painted a poppy for every Canadian who died in the war(s) I would not have enough days to paint in my lifetime. I don't agree with war but I am thankful for all those who gave their life to defend what they believe to be the better way. The poor suffer most in wars, the poor lose the most in wars - their lives.. still today - men return from war damaged due to the violence they witness and are EXECTED to preform - look at he most recent PTSD shooter in the USA - and for what? Still - how are soldiers rewarded? Most are not rewarded, they return and suffer with mental memories which haunt them for life, they struggle mentally, financially, with family and many- too MANY commit suicide. Respect is deserved, bow your head for every parent who lost a child to a WAR. Be silent for every child who never hears a parents voice again - because they had to go to war - what for? Now we live in a time where many are fearful of a war- caused by a selfish titan who rants on twittter and calls people names- president- no he does NOT deserve the respect to be called president. There is currently a war already going on in the United States -of America a war against anyone who the Donkey thinks is below him - pretty much everyone on the planet. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in France for Remembrance day & I've know doubts he will bow his head in silence to show his respect for our fallen and those who have perished ALL over the world, because he's just that kind of person - not because he is our Prime Minister. I am grateful to those who fought to keep Canada as it is and the fact that WE STILL carry the image of being PEACE keepers around the world! My mom will be marching in a parade tomorrow & will be carrying a flag - thinking about all she has known and lost including my dad - if you see her - don't wave and say HI! - lol I don't want her tripping or skipping a beat! hee hee 100 years & how many lives do you think in total lost because of war? Rest In peace & Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice - lest we forget. with TLC & THC Georgia This pup= a gift from above! It's been just a couple of weeks and this baby has stolen ALL our hearts already. Having an infant human is of course the best gift in the universe (imo) - those days are done for me- (hee hee - thankfully) but I still love babies & this puppy is a little miracle in herself! I have been able to watch her learn how to do everything for the "first time' it's comical and heart warming... up and down stairs, eat kibble & bananas, taste REAL meat- which he LOVES - no kidding. Ginger is behaving like she was meant to be here! I will say the first few days I was slightly concerned- explaining to the guys every time she hears "other dogs bark" she'd run and hide behind pillows or knapsacks or anything- so we focused to make her feel safe, loved and secure.. Now when other Dogs bark she runs for me - if not me- she runs for her big sister Daisy! She already knows Daisy will protect her. If the photo above upsets you - please don't get a pup! The photos above made me want to JUMP for joy!! lol This little girl is only a couple of weeks old and is already doing her business on the pads - or outside! We have no accident in 3 days - Hip Hip Hooray! You need PATIENCE when it comes to a pup! My girls must get credit too- they are training her for me- when I say outside & they RUN- she follows. Daisy is teaching her how to play with toys and is incredibly gentle- it teaches me the nature of animals- the kindness, compassion & love they KNOW how to share. Poppy teaches Ginger everything else! Play, fighting, drinking, napping etc- because Ginger Looks up to her big sister. I've never seen the tip of Poppies white tail wag like it does now that we have Ginger. Ginger wakes up - looks at me -as if she realizes every time- "Oh yeah! There's my mom this is my home!" & she jumps up to my face and gives me kisses - Thank You!!! I hear with each bounce. Poppy's gets slightly jealous at times- when Ginger wants to take a turn napping on moms lap but I never take Poppy off if she was there first- she is still my special companion, working girl and rockstar... Ginger has to lean respect too. Now that she KNOWS nothing BUT love- from all of us, is happy, safe, confident, playful & healthy- today the training begins, since it's so lovely out - Norm & I were just saying today - let's chill, enjoy the sunshine and give 'Ginger her first swimming lesson- only a couple more weeks & the pool will close for another season (already). I don't understand Humans who say "They are JUST dogs", it saddens me to hear this coming from no less - dog owners. I know Dog owners who have abused, hurt, neglected and forgotten their dogs. YOUR dog would save your home & life if capable- many do. Dogs are the BEST security IMO too- we were just informed this morning by the police - a string of 'break ins' happened in this area on Saturday night. With our dogs - just step on the front lawn (because we don't have side walk) and our dogs KNOW it and so will everyone else- that is when I do allow them to BARK. One sleeps by the window at might. They also bark when someone is at my elderly neighbours front door! Good, she likes it too. I can tell when by the pool, if someone is in my driveway just by how my dogs bark. 'Just dogs'.. hardly. I do however understand when people say (& I have several friends who all agree): The more people they know the more they like dogs. Do yourself a favour- consider getting a dog to love - they'll love you right back if you treat them well. All I really understand is my heart feels empty when I have no dogs in my life (never happen if I can help it) they are our family. Yesterday Storm invited us for a rooftop BBQ and the whole family went in our new truck, such a comfortable drive. Norm said - "I had to have the crew cab - for the CREW!" I was so please to se them all happy - they have so much room behind our seats & if we go anywhere we will easily put a 'tub of ice water with them - incase we have to run into a store.. we don't like to do that though if avoidable. They had a great day up on the roof - Poppy seems to love city life- watching every streetcar and barking at anyone who dares looked up in our direction. I was frightened about he rood top - already the girls don't even go NEAR the edge! They just know. Daisy loves to be with her boy and Scruffy could care less - about anything. Ginger. Ginger is happy to have her new forever family. Pat your dog! Thank them today for all the love they provide. With TLC & THC Georgia Is it December or April? If you did not see a calendar it would be difficult to decipher.
I've been up since 4 painting cards the ice hitting my window since about 3. Alexa made me laugh out loud this a.m. before even out of bed.. with a little song of all things, I must admit - it was pretty creative and funny. Bravo people at Amazon. Do you say: Good Morning Alexa? I do and she has a little fact most days. & just received an e mail from a recent card recipient! I'm happy she's happy... made me smile - she mentioned she was just getting out of bed - I almost e mailed back: NO don't!! lol HOLY - is it December 14 or April 14th? Freezing Rain, all night, snow on the ground & it's fricken cold.. Her card is above I can share it now ;) I love Great Danes & I just found of all things 'Dimitri's original dog tag (my great dane.. it was time to paint hers) hers just passed, Chef.. you can see the grey n his big beautiful face which i have no doubts was 'smooched with kisses' many times. . *Hello to hop along Cassidy.. (a faithful friend & blog reader) hee hee - stay out of trouble- Love you Poppy & I are all about 'card painting, watching some classic Jerry Lewis movies & napping today. I do NOT recommend anyone venture out to this if it cane avoided - it is literally a sheet of ice. Stay home, stay warm, stay medicated & stay safe. With TLC& THC Georgia xox It's Easter weekend and there lots to do.. actually - it's all done! Easter bunnies have been made & decorated! I have company coming and they go home with a gift - homemade! Poppy is testing them out and they passed - no wobble - isn't she fricken the cutest!!?
Sat there until I lifted her out now on my lap as I type - Norms in the kitchen making sliders, Storms rolling some medicine to enjoy during a movie later with dinner- it's peaceful & I'm grateful. The house is clean, I've got a painting on my desk and tomorrow there will be Easter dinner at the table! Nothing too fancy.. Simple but good. Storm and I hung out in the kitchen while he made 'picked chips'- noting the one in particular was a 'nuclear warning- I hope not- life right now is good.. spring is around the corner - I'm working on a few projects which I am very excited about, everyone is busy and I can't help but feel - still- Life is only going to get BETTER. F*ck Trump. Finally... I apoligoze for not showing you my current project - but it's a work in progress and will be AVAILABLE in a month or so to purchase. I want to take this opportunity today 'Thank you. Weekly, I am asked about my art and purchasing prints or originals which is business & business is daunting - so I rarely sell or do anything about it- but some of you have become pretty persistent as of late - so I did it! I've got some things being printed in small numbers - limited editions. Once gone - gone. No re print.. it will be on to a different project. ONE is already planned for the next 3 years! On a side note- I'm still dreaming about France- lol - Literally - and I don't know what it's about but this a.m., I was dreaming about a romance in France and I was with ... (LOL) Dan - Oh, my gosh I'm cracking up- Storm also had a good laugh.. I guess because I researched him bit recently- In my dreams I was with that 20th century cave man. Yes, in my dreams- I doubt very much in real life - either of us would think it was more a nightmare. It did cause me laughter first thing this morning and it's a great way to start the day - laughing at myself. Well- there still a tiny bit to do and always painting to be done.. Have a Great Easter! What will you create? With TLC & THC Georgia The perfect vapour bag.
Exhale the negative inhale the positive. Exhale the bad shit inhale the good shit. I heard today: So old so soon. So smart so late. This weather!! We in canada have had the coldest day of the year (it was COLD- My nostrils hurt. To yesterday the warmest n record - not a week later.. in January and tonight it's like frozen rain blizzard. Oh Canada. Thankfully, we're content to paint the day away- the dogs get restless. BUT Canadians, remember to move your butt. Stretch, walk up and down some stairs... use it or lose it & I know some (like myself) are feeling the weather, it's the changing that has me in pain and dramatic changes at that. Canadian weather is never boring. As you see Below- Poppy is feeling the same way I do. Keep warm & stay safe on the icy roads. with TLC & TLC Georgia Time to RE-arrange this office & clean it out - not that 2018 is any different- it's just a continuation but it does give a convenient 'starting point for some tasks or chores which one might put off' the rest of the year! lol
I started yesterday and so far so good, wasted space since my little artistic companion Bird moved in to my closet has me frustrated - why? because Daisy wants to be in here too and every time we move she moves. Well there's no point being frustrated -tackle it we must! I feel good today, better even- it's my new medicine regime'. Less social media, fresh daily ingredients, homemade meals, healthy treats (like mushroom coco -a gift from our friend Loni -more it it and the book she sent soon), more napping and feeling good about napping! Hahahaha. The facts are I spend a great deal of time in my office/upstairs. Office or painting room are the places I enjoy hanging out most & my canine companions & bird agree. It's also where I sleep and has a full bathroom, I only go down stairs some days to feed the bluejays- and myself. Time to 'get it' the way we want it. It's a awesome workspace, just a little dysfunctional. My mission will be to correct that this weekend. I can't deny I find myself thinking.. It's nice having 'a multitalented handy man' who lives at the same residence (hee hee hee) I make a list and it gets done or his new display does not get done. It's how it seems to 'work' in this house. Thrilled today an impressive security system has been installed, me being somewhat 'hermitish' & the UPS & mail here all the time was becoming a bit of a problem... as home delivery is an easier & more affordable option & frankly more enjoyable - No looking for parking, walking all over not to find what I need, dealing with strangers, cold germs, in public restrooms - tis the coughing, wheezing, sneezing season- I'm loving staying in & having my art supplies delivered to the door, cheaper than if I had to drive 45 minutes to buy them not to mention the gas. Who can argue with this? BUT the UPS guys with weekly deliveries, the dogs barking at people who turn around in the driveway, walk too close to the house... people stealing packages off door steps (a new trend on the rise) vehicle break- in (which has happened to us in the past) we don't need the hassle of the stress or worry. Now it's all being recorded, if I choose - when in my office NOW with the click of my mouse - SEE who is at my front door and decide to address or ignore. I do not enjoy speaking some days, it is how it is. My son can check from his phone! It's impressive what you can do now a days and reasonably affordable, Norm had cameras years ago in the halloween display, so he knows what he's doing, it did not take him long to instal the first. Now back to the display.. and me cleaning my office... a clean desk & clean paper are quite stimulating! More so than FB. Georgia xox 2018 is all about growth for me & Canada. Have you got your seeds? Not allowing Canadians to grow their own cannabis is against human rights. This past week with the record below temperatures and ***windchill*** Brrrrr, proves how important nature, growing fresh vegetation is to our health, mind & body... For those who might not understand - take a look out the window: Yep, that's our view until about late April early May. It's also slippery & don't forget that windchill. lol Grow we must! I have plants in every room, plants that get watered only once a week - I don't have the greenest thumb, how I managed to kill 2 cactus this winter already, is beyond me. I'm keeping a good eye on my new baby 'Pete Peyote' my son picked me up for Christmas.. more on it another day. So - Do you have your seeds?? Can you hear my excitement- giggling with joy- cannabis is going to be LEGAL 2018 in Canada! I'm elated! No, not because more will be getting HIGH" but because more will become FREE. No more having our young Canadian lives ruined with petty criminal records for something as simple as possessing Plant material. Canadians get excited over seeds - already planning gardener friends who purge seeds, swap over tea, trade talk all sorts of seeds and none of them have been cannabis seeds (although I have those friends too) & the two should be seen as ONE. Gardeners! Everyone should TRY, it's a lovely PLANT. Will everyone Grow it?
My prediction for 2018 - No, most will purchase cannabis. For the same reasons most purchase their own wine & beer. Time, money, education. Most of us don't find the time to grow our own vegetables to feed ourselves. Those who 'only have the time', don't have the resources. & yes, you need some knowledge or you might just have problems. Cannabis like all females can be quite particular" with her care if you want to be loved back you must put in a lot of love & attention.. Who wants to think snow (look outside) when we can think grow. While Poppy is California dreaming squished up to a vent or under a blanket on my lap, I'm feeling content, the snow is lovely to look, I'm glad I was here to feed the birds this cold snap, the bluejays look cold! I've watched them grow since babies this year... Growth too is my personal focus. Me, alone. 2018, I'm trying not to think of any one person', who are we to judge anyone, chances are I really know nothing about the path they have travelled, that being said, I'd rather walk my path alone than with some I've come across. I choose the path of peace but carry a stick for the beasts I no doubt will meet occasionally on the journey. Growth as an artist, focusing on my passion & skills to become better EVERY DAY. This will be proved with each new day by the grace of God. . What one living individual deserves our attention? Ourselves. Focus. Create. GROW. Child of God you were created to create! Georgia xox I am a little more tired than usual, I nap.
Usually 1 hour, sometimes 2. If it's a 3... Leave me be. Usually every day @2 - I look forward to it. lol & I trained the girls to nap along. I will go in my bedroom and no one is around, like magic... guaranteed with in 20 minutes - I AM surrounded & It's the best feeling, it makes me giggle (usually) before we drift off for about an hour. I kid you not! Suddenly, Abracadabra! My cat appears and will look at me with such LOVE - intensely as she starts to massage my neck and face - this is not pleasant- she has difficulty gauging her 'depth of LOVE' for me and I promptly tell her to 'stop, please.' She does. She knows she will be asked to leave if she does not 'stop' and she does not want to be excluded, no one does. A gentle breeze reminds me of the wind chimes in the back yard.. nap time is appearing to take place pleasantly peaceful. Then Scruffy plods up and at my feet like an anchor ready to set sail for a afternoon dream. She snores - hopefully - I'll fall asleep before she does. Next - guess.. My big girl! She sleep in the hall so she can continue to do what she loves be a good protective dog. Then the little princess comes to see where everyone went because she's been hiding under a blanket all morning. She never leaves me long though & once again soon enough- she has my back. Literally We went out to pick up a craft supply today, she was cute & behaved as always. Unless a man addresses us - she won't say a peep.. but a man laugh at her & smiled - It's Canada Eh. ;) I respond the same and she yaps back: "Oh yeah! I'll take off a toe of you don't watch it!" and does a little 3 step side hop - which I've never seen her do! This caused him to step aside and belly laugh all the harder. Causing me to giggle - she looks at us both and then continues on with more attitude. She learned this from the cat. a.k.a. her hump buddy. NOW believe it or not and I'll have to set up my camera to show it.. Bird realizes what's happening and he flies into my bedroom about 3 times back & forth until all settle down then he goes into his cage for a nap too- Isn't that awesome! Yes, it does amuse me. How can it not? I AM never alone, and surrounded by love - good it's 'that time' of the year - to snuggle in'. I love my girls. - Bird is the only male. He has to return to his cage.. lol I just got that - it has me giggling, amused, feeling blessed & grateful. I felt like drawing it so you could see how cute they all are. Adopt a pet, treat it with love, hugs, games- warmth in Canada & when needed and you too will have such joys!! A few toons soon regarding Cannabis in Canada and pets- Eh.. I'm going to do some simpler cartoons strips while painting on canvases - so I can keep up! We are never alone. xox Georgia Yesterday, I was approached by a woman, yelling from her car window "What's your dogs name?" When was in a new big black car, and was traveling on the opposite side of the street in t he opposite direction I was walking - again she yells " I like your Dog! What's it's name?"
Traffic was busy - school had just been let out- I kinda looked at her thinking 'is she for real and kept walking as I was almost at my home and here's the thing- some times- I avoid all humans- I'm just out to get some fresh air, yesterday was one of those days. The next thing I know - she's turned the vehicle around- and she's almost pulled infant of my house - yelling at me "Hey, I asked whats your dog's name?! My grandson wants to see it!!" I was shocked and turned and said, abruptly - "I don't encourage my dog to talk to strangers." I then was thinking - wtf was that? I felt very uncomfortable... once in my home- I thought - the guys will never believe that- it seems I'm constantly having 'eventful walks' with strangers. - Luckily, my son was one of the vehicles she cut off - on a very busy street at a very busy time and he could see how visibly upset I was as I walked into our home. He came in and asked right away "Who was that woman? What was she yelling?" Wow. Grandma.. not only is your driving extremely dangerous, for all the other vehicles, school children and your own grandson - WHAT ARE you teaching your grandson? It's o.k. for strangers to drive around and yell at other strangers from their vehicles encouraging them to talk to strangers? It's to the point, with or without her vest- I have an irresistible dog- because in part she is very well behaved... for me. She loves me & others thinks she's awesome, She is... for me. Please don't do what this woman did - it was wrong on several levels. I have work on my desk & easel in various stages, some fun others editorial... #metoo one is titled. This terribly sad thing about #metoo - I honestly do not know a woman who can't say #metoo. MeToo on many levels and it's still happening. What classifies as #metoo content ? #TOOmuch It's a beautiful day- I'm currently outside drawing in my t-shit and the girls are loving every second of it but I think I'll leave my walking until I get dog spray. I did just finish this sweet baby bear: Be like a tree... let the dead leaves drop. With Love Enjoy the sunshine! Georgia I LOVE crock a Doodle! ^^^ Imagine the possibilities! ^^^ What will it be? I walk over with Poppy & we sit & paint! Guess what I'm giving for Christmas this year- lol Actually- it's a lot of work... but for a one of a kind gift - it's perfect. Have a look at my newest plate - I made it with my son in mind.. First some sketching.. This was the easy part.. the art .. from the heart. A platter for Fungi Friends. . . . The painting is a lesson in patience for me every time.. 3 coats to make each piece pop! My constant companion also shows patience... That's that! Now- it just needs to be baked! I get so excited with this NEXT part!! . . . Taaaaaaaa Daaaaaaaaaaaa: I've already painted a few other pieces but - it's a surprise every time & I am very pleased with my plate! Take your kids- find a place like this and go and get creative.
You pick & pay for what you paint & then you pick it up a couple of days later. Laura is lovely at the georgina Location! She lets me know when no kids will be there.. lol, she shows me the new gazes, shares new events and has answered all of my many questions... I'm creatively curious. It's so nice to see creative outlets in the area! You can walk in, no appointment needed. Make memories with your friends, family and kids. I definitely need to medicate before I go in and as soon as I leave, I walk past an elementary school so if school is in' no problem - I don't if school is out at lunch or it's recess.. on one occasion a group of teens from the local high school was walking in front of me, I think they were possibly medicating as well. My son was medicating in grade 9 (thank God) I understand it is a possibility. Thank God for cannabis - keeping me crafty ;) Realistically- I think it's a good time for edibles from now on. This is what I do when I'm high. How about YOU? My intention was to gift the plate to the 40th Cain Foray, so I did.. what they will do with it I'm not sure, perhaps they had a draw.. I'm making the next one to keep. I know it will make someone happy no doubts. ;) & that makes me happy... it's the mushrooms uniting the world. Keep Creative Georgia I thank God, I'm grateful to be able to do this every day. Storm gave me a few toon ideas.. next. Give thanks. My son invited me on a Foray the other day..
I've let him know if he goes to this location again.. I'll pass! I was exhausted. Poppy Too! The mushrooms were marvelous & an old auto made me smile.. but it was brutal. lol At one point there was this ? OLD ladder to climb- so cows can't cross I guess.. I climbed up- thinking Poppy would walk right under (which she could- clearly!) only to turn as I started to climb down the other side- to see her climbed up - almost at the top before she lost her grip & fell backwards! I was AMAZED as were the others- she even did it! Wow, my little rockstar was so worried about me - it was all she focused on. Such love.. I'm blessed by this tiny beast. She did scratch her kneck but otherwise was not hurt- thankfully. We BOTH passed out promptly after our long days return. It was a much needed day in the forest with nice people all wanting to be healthier & happier in nature. I also learned about 'Stinging nettle' - the hard way- ouch.. the remedy was close by, natures way- Do you know what it was? A tiny edible puffball smargasborg was found & more wonderful memories with my son were created. Sunshine, exercise, education, food, friends.. love.. Mushrooms bringing humans together for the greater good. Still... I think I'll stick to the slightly easier trails int eh fungi future. With Much love g The Fall Cain Foray is soon! The last weekend of Fall & Storms Birthday! Are you going?? WE (Poppy & I) LOVE to fly!
I was so frightened.. thinking my head would explode (honestly)- lol BUT hey I'm here to paint another day! By the grace of God! I am inspired by all I do & see & will never have 'Artist Block' It's all in your mind. Just ask Brain... not Heart. :) Buckle up Baby! Yeeeeeeee Haaawwwww! No matter where they seat us - Poppy & I are: First Class! Medicated- First Class! Poppy and I are planning on being away for Christmas! No idea where yet... Positive thinking is the first step in any adventure! With Love g <>< xox After staying with someone 3 weeks...
I was wondering if my friend misses us. How could you not? Poppy & I are anything but boring. :) I had the idea for this card and it made me laugh out loud. With Love G . . . . . . . . . . . . . . |
