December - in like a lion! Woke up to so much snow- Poppy & Ginger both said: No.
Peeing indoors (in the bathroom on the pads) will probably be it, until the big dogs carve some paths. Lol December… the past week, Instagram is busy with decorating- notably these massive Nutcrackers from Walmart (I think in the USA for $150each) & instantly as soon as people take them from the box, they paint them a solid colour - Gold usually & put them outside the front door 2 (mostly) so that’s $300. on 2 Holiday decorations. I have friends who could not afford a Thanksgiving Turkey (at $80.) so I doubt it will have changed much in a month. Christmas Stuff - Ho ho ho! No no no. It helped me decide: I’m not decorating this year. Christmas is the ‘bulling season’.. “Oh but it’s Christmas!” Suddenly nothing else matters.. cause it’s Christmas - “Don’t be a Scrooge”. Fuck that. Christmas is rarely about Christ it seems, people get further & further in debt - over STUFF. Stuff that gets broken and tossed aside after boredom with it sets in. These Christmas movies, we are bombarded with are filled with STUFF. Stuff. Stuff. I have people I care about going in for surgery this month & the past year has taught me… accidents happen - there is no such thing as ‘minor surgery’ - so, I just want them back home safe -already. I have other things to focus on besides Nutcrackers. December, for many just adds to depressing them further. Jim Carey (on IG) said he was taught Depression needs - Deep rest. I’ve been sleeping a bit more than usual, it’s what my body needs & demands & I am going to listen. Paint, nap… snuggle with dogs & repeat. I'll do this to keep depression at bay, I paint to keep my mind stimulated on positive things. I’ll probably paint, some Christmas because I enjoy reminiscing, don’t we all… but that’s as far as it’s going. I don't consider myself a Scrooge at all, nor do I care if anyone 'thinks' I am. I actually feel relieved that I recognize, I don't enjoy getting caught up in the Seasonal Charade. That, makes me feel better. I will be celebrating Jesus (as always) Christmas & on… For those who do not wish to partake in ‘the season’ - don’t. Skip it & have a nap! For those who are still excited about decorating & the tree & STUFF! Yes, celebrate! Do what makes you happy but do NOT call anyone a Scrooge who does not with to play along… perhaps they have a valid reason for ignoring the season. Christmas craft tomorrow - hahaha - I LOVE sharing ideas for people to create some 'gifts' rather than go into debt.. it's more of something to make with the kids, create good memories for Christmas - that's a gift that will be cherished - forever. Ho ho ho... time to watch dogs play in snow. Ho, Ha, Guard, Turn, Perry, Dodge, Spin, Ha, Thrust!!!
RobinHood Daffy Chuck Jones. Acrylic on wood (2 sides). 1 of 9 in a set. Daffy & Porky at their best, what an interesting relationship these two have. In this cartoon - full of Daffy antics & laughter, you really get to see the friendship between them. Porky is the sweetest I’ve seen him, sitting there laughing so hard - a tear falls, then the two of them laugh together (Daffy at himself) until they are rolling on the ground, it is contagious & makes me laugh to watch. We’ve all had that kind of friend, makes you laugh until you pee your pants. Laughing is the best medicine and these cartoons are a wonderful escape to do so. You’ll notice this cartoon is full of vivid colours! Pinks, greens - a yellow sky & blue trees but it all blends magically and appears very ‘normal. Take a closer look and you will notice the leaves are actually stamped’ as are the little red flowers. This is obviously an attempt by background artists to not only be creative but save time and costs (if I had to guess). I watch this cartoon for the joy of watching Daffy try to convince Porky he is RobinHood, Daffy forever f*cking up and Porky is forever patient & I admire the stunning, sharp background visuals. This is the last of my set of 9 that looks neat up on the wall, if I do say so. Want a pick me up? Want a good giggle - I suggest you make a tea, get all cosy & watch these two. I have the golden collection DVD set (all 3) but they can still be watched on YouTube. It turns out - I have one more just being finished on my desk today, I did the one side a few months back & it hung in the kitchen.. I decided to finish it, I’ll show you next Saturday. Created to create, I’m grateful for ALL those cartoonists, animators & artists who have created amusing visuals to raise our spirits & make us laugh. Pumpkin Carving experts.
On Instagram I noticed a Chicken pumpkin carving challenge -so I tried. It works! Lol. You start to carve the pumpkins then leave them in the coop for the chickens (& ducks) to continue. Carving they did! Always amusing to watch - it’s also entertaining for the birds. We put in two pumpkins; roasting the seeds from one later today, and the chickens & ducks took over. Seeing a chicken or duck with its head stuck in a pumpkin is funny, pulling out occasionally with a face (beak) full of pumpkin guts & a look of content, of course - who doesn’t like pumpkins. Winter is on the way & the birds will get a few treats -like squash and watermelon, bananas & strawberries, all summer as fruit starts to expire - I’ve been washing it in tiny chunks & stick it in a big container in the freezer- every few days they get a defrosted scoop of treats. My birds are ‘living the life. Chickens will be the official pumpkin carvers from now on! Pumpkins spice eggs, anyone? Hee hee YUK, not a fan of pumpkin spice. Happy Halloween for all celebrating! I hope the little ones (& big ones) have a halloween to remember with happy memories. Let's make no bones about it - halloween brings about it's own creativity. There are some amazing costumes for humans and pets & decorative displays... cakes, cookies & art! Also some frightening costumes.. I watched a video of adults at a day care - terrifying toddlers, chasing them around, screaming at them in a frightening mask & thought.. wtf. They were all fired. I guess so. I think there's enough going on in the world - we don't need to be terrifying toddlers, life will hand them enough scary situations. It reminds me of the display we use to have & some parents had no issues dragging screaming children through -because they wanted to see. It made me upset with our own display, thinking we were responsible for frightening little ones. Movie creators don't appear to be concerned, these days. I don't want to paint frightening art. I like skeletons. I painted a few ideas (warm -ups) halloween themed, that's as scary as I'm getting. Wanna jump my bones? hee hee hee. I enjoy adding my boney Poppy too. I forgot to share this orange tabby, smoking a fatty.... playing with paint. Gouache on Black 8 x 8 Most of these cats are imagined, all are relaxing to paint... it's the fur & fun of them.
Have a creative day! Created to create. Don't let them get your goat! Acrylic on board 9.8" Ever notice how some people like to intentionally aggravate? Like to get yer' goat? Just for the fun of it... I get it - bugging, teasing.. (what ever you want to call it) once in a while, but every now you meet someone who seems to live to bother others & causes suffering for their own enjoyment. In the past, I'd let them get my goat, now I understand & know people 'like this' are not worth losing peace, instead look at them for 'who they are - sad, angry, vengeful humans who are not not happy or content so they intentionally add misery to others, often robbing themselves (& family) of peace in the process. That's a type of instant karma. Sooner or later they are seen for who they are. Give it to God. The one that preserves their peace & is not nasty in return is the one who has power & control. Instead of feeling negative towards others who behave badly - feel pity for them & pray for them or ignore them. Weak people revenge. Strong people forgive. Intelligent people ignore. ~Albert Einstein. Anyone I know who is creative, happy & content (& successful) hardly finds the time to socialize yet 'be intentionally mean & nasty to others. I've seen trolls on social media for example & I think - do they have nothing better to do, than make nasty comments... that's a dismal existence. It's the old adage: Misery loves company. Surround yourself with people who lift you up, with words or actions, be it in person & on line. That's how you survive & thrive. By not letting nasty humans get your goat - you are getting theirs... I was deliberating about someone in particular when painting this goat, from frustration to feeling compassion for them by the time I was done, praying they find peace so they can actually enjoy this beautiful life we have been gifted, every day. That's what painting is for me. Praying with paint, playing with goats with psilocybin for mental wellness & peace of mind. Yay! Now I have another 'spinner to smile at and remind me: No one is worth getting my goat. Don't let them get your goat & don't stoop to their level.... never forget God hears, God sees & God knows. God says: Vengeance is mine. Leave it to God, it will not go unnoticed. Interesting fact about this short goat quote: & if something is bound to 'get your goat' - let it be something like this (below) so we can all be better educated & prepared to correct such issues and bring people who lie & cause intentional suffering to light & punish them accordingly.
Three things won't be hidden long.. the sun , the moon & the truth. Thank God. Purrrvert. Acrylic on board, ruffly 10 inches. Coated with clear varnish.
My friend Geoff sends me photos of their (his & my moms) cat and it's always sitting in this position. It cracks me up every time. The cat has a facial expression as if to say: WTF are you staring at? & they provided me with my recent treasure trove of 'canvas', I am fond of the round - as you are aware. So, I thought it only fitting to reciprocate with a pet portrait. It was much appreciated and brought JOY. Apparently, the Purrrvert likes it too. He's so handsome & amusing, I didn't want to busy the background too much. Boy it's been a few "heavy days', heavy with humidity & heart, I keep looking at the dog bed that is now, usually empty. Scruffy spent a great deal of time the past couple of years 'napping. I also caught myself several times, chewing a piece of meat & then going to look for her... habit. I'll admit I'm tired & missing Scruffy... she was around a long time. Now, suddenly not there, it's difficult. Time heals all wounds... but does it fill the empty space? I dove into my book, 'The Count of Monte Cristo' thankful for a tremendous tale & expanding my vocabulary. For example, I never had a clew that you could spell clue, clew. Did you? You just have to pause on a word with kobo & it brings up the definition, I do it regularly reading this book. I can usually guess', especially when considering the context... but occasionally - I have no clew. lol Next on the desk to be painted is a chicken, cock, callus domesticus, jungle fowl, bird... what ever word pleases you. Created to create. Taking a dip. Acrylic on board 10”
Ginger loves the chickens & ducks, she loves to hang out in the coop pen & she’s very gentle with them… I think she’ll like the ducks as they get bigger.. Ducks like water but they don’t need a pool, we do have kiddy pool in the pen & they do go in frequently for a little spin. When tiny I had to find a water dish that would not tip. I used one of the dogs water dishes - it was perfect and occasionally I‘d see a duckling swim in it & so did Ginger, which amused her as much as me. The idea for this painting was born. The ducklings are getting big and don’t fit in the dish anymore, it’s now become a water dish for them where I add water with cut up fruit like strawberries, peaches, watermelon, peas & corn. They come running when they see me put anything in the dish, as does Ginger. Ginger is a big (chubby) sensitive baby, she doesn’t like to get in trouble & is a quick learner. She is slimming down -on a perpetual diet as her breathing was becoming laboured but now she’s chasing chipmunks and getting more active again. She carries a baby (stuffless raccoon toy) for naps in the gazebo & gets upset when she leaves it outside, she even brings it to the sofa when watching a movie. She loves Poppy most, (Arrow least - lol) and prefers to lay touching her - squished up together - no matter how much room is available. Not a day goes by where I’m not convinced, Dogs are Gods gift to us - furry angels, who love us, protect us, humour us & follow us for as long as they can. I grateful for every dog I’ve had in my life. Pat your dog, show them some love & patience & you’ll have a faithful friend FUREVER. Donalds Descendant. acrylic on board 10"
These little ducklings grow at a rate like I've never witnessed! Right now they are so cute & fluffy, I'm wondering when they will turn white and they have the tiniest stubby wings for such big bodies, waddling with huge flipper feet -I love to just stand and stare. The details in their feet are amazing & the legs are stalky & strong only 3 weeks old. Nature is incredible. I'm grateful for this tiny farm experience, growing up a city girl -even with some sad moments. I still miss the goats and we've lots a few chickens for different reasons but that's how it is, it's not been from neglect, all are well fed, watered and cared for, our coop is one of the nicest I've seen, it could easily be turned into a 'bunkie if we had no feathered friends. I have a new respect for farmers -especially those who raise cattle, goat, pigs - it's WORK. I pray we don't have issues like they are experiencing in the Netherlands right now with farmers, although I'm concerned as it does appear Trudeau is headed in the same direction. I'm so disappointed with his actions lately, he appears no more than a puppet & I really believed he had Canada & all Canadians best interests at heart - he's proven other wise the past couple of years. With world events, I'm not sure who if anyone would be any better but it seems like people have had enough, all over. One little duckling (this portrait) is a scrapper (already) & has started to chase Ginger! Oh, it has me burst out laughing - it even knows to go for her ears & tail & Ginger is brave now but wait a couple of weeks when this duck towers over her. I don't think she'll be so brave then. It doesn't want Poppy rounding it up either - it nipped at her bum, Poppy stared it down tho. Ginger thinks the duck is playing and wants to play. They love strawberries & we have a kiddy pool that they got into themselves yesterday for a swim.. The chickens don't seem to even notice the ducks. I have another idea for a painting of a duckling - ready to sketch today. The adventure continues, thankful for another day. Enjoy the day, create something magnificent! Kermit Can Grow. Acrylic on board, 10 inches. Painted just for the fun of it!
Kermit admiring his plant was inspired by simply thinking about the name ‘Vincent Van Gogh. Inspiration - derives from many places. Inspired by nature (usually), photos, books, quotes, comments, humans & of course creatures… the source is endless - the key is to be inspired to the point of creation. Van Gogh has a unique style & replicating it is CALMING. I encourage you to try, if you need assistance there are many ‘How to paint like Van Gogh’ tutorials on YouTube! How incredible if you want to learn anything - chances are someone has shared their gift with us on YouTube. It’s how I learned how to crochet & make many recipes (3 ingredients or less are a gratifying) paint with water colour, achieve many home hacks & more. I’ve also taken a few online lessons. Of course the best teacher in all ways is experience. Remember - the gift is nothing without the work. There is nothing more satisfying than to have someone tell me I inspired them to paint, I’ve been told this a lot lately, thank you! I know there are many people who don’t even realize their artistic potential but when they finally do - it unleashes a whole new outlook & attitude. Today is a perfect day to discover your hidden talents! If I was suggest an easy way to start: grab a pencil & paper & sketch. Even the feel of the pencil dragging across the canvas excites me - lol I have a new routine: I get up (thank the Lord for another day) & paint in the morning, take a dog break, visits the farm family & back to painting on an off (especially when letting acrylic dry) during the day (complete a few chores) watch a bit of T.V. (sometimes) & just before I drift off, I sketch the painting for the next day while in bed. At lights off & I start to imagine how I’m going to paint it. Last night I sketched a duckling that I’m excited to paint today (it’s pretty sweet - if I do say so) titled: Donalds Descendant This sketch triggered another painting already in my mind with yet another duckling. Seeing as I have 7… perhaps each will have a portrait. I was out at sunrise taking photos of duck feet! A fantastic way to start the day. Grateful for the gift - created to create. Have you ever seen sheep herding dogs? I have 2 chihuahua duckling herding dogs - lol
Today I let the ducklings explore the coop yard…. It was entertaining! Firstly, they have easily doubled in size - in a week! They chase flies, flap their tiny wings and wiggle their tiny butts. They stick together in a group, moving in unison - not that they had much choice. Poppy was being very protective (Ginger too) and circled them while keeping the chickens away, and keeping them in a tight group as they ate, played and splashed. I giggle at the thought of what's going to happen as these ducks become larger then Poppy & Ginger, daily visits will keep everyone friendly. I have a kiddy pool for them and just taught them how to get out safely on the wooden ramp. They didn’t seem too thrilled with the water. Hmmmm. The chickens don’t seem too impressed or concerned with the ducklings, they hardly even looked at them, they tried to steal their food but Poppy was having none of it. They loved it, their first adventure out, exploring for 2 hours, tomorrow I’ll leave them longer. I had to round them up and put them back one by one & one is very fast- lol I’ll call him Speedy, the girls caught on to what I was trying to do and helped re-direct the tiny quick ducking in my direction - out from under the coop. Today, I’m painting a special bugs on some new canvas I was just gifted, (yay!!) & then ducklings in the sunlight in the afternoon. I hope you are having a terrific day & keeping cool! It's cool in Canada today only a high of 23. It’s another glorious day to enjoy & create. Kermit chillin' with a violet sky. I painted something like this not long ago & it sold right away so I missed it - lol, I'm keeping this one. I like to give myself at least a couple of weeks with most paintings since they take a lot of work & the painting is much more enjoyable than an image of the painting.
I didn't look at the previous while creating tis one but know it was the same subject content being Kermit & Baby Big Bird. This was painted in 1/2 the time & was all about fun - as I pondered a more serious painting. I'm running out of canvas - oh my! I only have a few wooden ones left - the ones I've been using for my cartoon collection - that's good enough until I re-stock. Kermit is chilling' & content to just enjoy the moment. Be in the now... living in the present, standing in front of his cannabis field with a few mushrooms primed for the picking! Joyful. Have a Joy filled day - what ever you do. Hillbilly Bugs 1950 in the Ozarks Tribute art. Acrylic on wood
Ready to Square dance!? Chuck Jones was a square dancing fool.. hee hee Really. The special features on my CD set talks about Chuck Jones enjoying a square dance or two during the lunch hour. What he puts these two through - with his song - you must listen to the words to appreciate the talent. Note Bugs has no whiskers in this painting & he did not during the production. Later, I heard Chuck mention (special features) "...if he was lucky - on a big budget- Bugs might get three whiskers... maybe 2." lol - I guess this was low budget. You wounld'nt know it from the non stop action. I was a fan of Hillbillies because of this cartoon, it still makes me laugh, bugs at his best in his finest. How easily they dropped their guns for fun! Swing yer partner round & round. This painting is also a tiny tribute to PRIDE (note the rainbow decor hanging in the dance hall). Bugs bunny was one of the first crossdressing (Trans) characters to hit the animated screen & he did it so elegantly. Usually, dressing as a female to fool some "fool' who is easily distracted by a pretty woman. Bugs knew the power of a beautiful Woman. He also 'fell for a beautiful dame' several times. Bugs knew how to have a good time. Chuck Jones was aware the transgender community loved Bugs & what He/She represented to them and he was more than happy with it. Bugs was happiest in whatever 'skin' he was in. My displeasure for Hillbillies' came later due to the movie representation in 'Deliverance & later 'The Hills have eyes. Which I regret watching. Like watching negative news, the 'only negative' stereotype doesn't help with an often true representation of a large community.. I never thought of it as negative then or now. Frankly, I didn't give it much thought... other than it appeared very enjoyable, except for the Hillbillies fate, a pool of mud or a bale of hay - always surviving to dance the next step. We had square dancing in elementary school - I loved it. Painting this I can think of a few times I pondered: 'Not my body, not my business.' I was always amused & envious to see how easily Bugs would become his beautiful, brilliant female half. Being Trans, Gay, a crossdressing hare never occurred negative to me & still doesn't. It's creative genius. If anything plastic surgery that people do to themselves makes me upset - but again... not my body not my business. I wish everyone would accept & love themselves as God created. All Love - Any Love is to be celebrated. Love Thy Neighbour - Can you see it? Pride month is a good reminder 'love is love', there are countless incidents where we should be concerned & none of them should be with each other, who cause no harm or simply for how they choose to represent themselves or who they love. Not my body not my business. Happy Saturday! If you are fortunate enough to celebrate love - or square dance- enjoy! I already have the next for the collection sketched, it's a tear jerker. Can you guess? No Bugs. Another fan (& friend) sent me a message that made me giggle after I hinted at my painting on Instagram, It's below... & NO, they don't make them' like that anymore! Too bad. Created to create! I made myself a Monkey T from a T that was gravy (poutine) stained... I like it!
I'm going to make more. I'll admit, I was inspired by Harland Williams on Instagram. Harland is always posting photos of his T shirts he hand draws & I thought - they are cool .. why don't I do that. Done. Harland sells them off his site- they are colourful, fun & creative and ONE of a KIND! & I must add -it made me laugh, Harland will make a video of him wearing your shirt. I think he is very funny.. Canadian funny, if you know what I mean, eh. He's kinda funny looking too, hard to describe but he does make me smile. Stuff. Melt snow- dam you! hahaha Arrow & Bow.. Bow discovered the chickens- on no. This should be interesting. These two are always together. I know Bow will be joining us on our forest adventures. Right now, I'm doing serious training with treats to Bow to come running when called! When I can't find Bow, I tell Arrow- Go Get Bow and off she goes.. running and usually Bow is chased in the house- it's too cool. Well it's another glorious day to paint, I hope you like my T - recycled & loved once again.. stain & all. Oh.. below my girls in their shared St. Patty's day hat! lol yes, it does not take much to amuse -thank God. I laughed all day at these doggos. Not one...
Today I shall focus on all the positive in the world - people waking up. Opening up. A toasty warm fire. Humans discovering their potential & creating items of beauty to share. Humans who don't give up but in the face of adversity, continue to rise & inspire others. Hope. Faith. Today, not one fuck shall be given... we will enjoy this day & expect miracles! Bonus Kermit below because I like playing with Kermit & paint. Have a creative day! Flying high! When I sketched this it had 3 birds flying around Kermit but as I painted the sky I thought they'd get lost so I deleted them. I added the cannabis just for fun.
Kermit is HIGH on life, no cannabis necessary - flying on his bike over a green field. I turned this into a time-lapse & posted on my IG Georgia.toons for anyone who might be interested in the creation of Kermit. The sun is absolutely radiant today with no snow expected - 'Yeaaaa!' (said in Kermit voice) Today, I'm determined to complete wooden gift painting then painting something FUN! Fun, springlike and maybe Kermit! haha- I'm on a kermit kick.. not sure why but it's enjoyable so I'm sticking with him. I've been turning my images into kaleidoscopes using my iPad, I LOVE Kaleidoscopes... transforming in the light, stimulating shapes and colours that change completely with the slightest movement, quite a stimulating & relaxing way to spend some time. Ride like Kermit, feel the wind on your eyeballs... be HIGH on life. Enjoy the journey & thank God daily for the privilege. Thank The Lord for a new day! Weee!
Kermit covering all the bases. Riding his bike to adventures unknown! Aren’t we all? Covid, Trudeau & Putin.. I am thankful for them all - the planet is on a new level of awakening because of them. The world is watching & some might think they are getting away with murder but they are not. They are indeed proving to the world who they are and what their objective is and how planned it has all been. I am done being a participant to their puppet show. I miss Trump, at least he was “blunt” & watching Biden - I think there is something seriously wrong with him, Trump was more competent - I actually think he’ll be back, time will tell. I feel better today than I have in a couple of weeks after much contemplating during my recent psilocybin session… a new calm with the understanding: It’s all part of the plan. I don’t agree with Trudeau or Putin, I have no control over anything but my own actions & response & I’m NOT contributing to anger or hate with my drawings. I’ve had some editorials come to mind but one made me tear up after I drew it so I'm not sharing.. I’ll focus on LOVE, LIGHT & this great, wonderful adventure we are all on. It’s snowing (sigh) lol, the birds are abundant, theres a log on the fire & one more Kermit on my desk- because drawing kermit on his bike is enjoyable. I’m going to time-lapse him for IG because I enjoy watching painting created so why not share. Love God with all your heart and soul and might, give thanks for the adventure, every moment of it. It’s all a lesson - on LOVE. What are YOU teaching? Teach ONLY love - that IS what we are. Tribute painting.. I decided to paint some tribute art for my studio. A scene from: Duck Dodgers in the 24th & 1/2 century! Inspired from Buck Rogers - to which I do remember seeing on television when just a tot. Created years before I was born, I remember watching re-runs with my grandmother. From start to finish this animated cartoon is one of my favourites for countless reasons - including Marvin the Martian. The colours are vibrant and bold, perfect for Planet X with X shaped trees. Warner brother cartoons are quite educational, seeing them as a child and watching now, I’m amazed at the different perspective, classical music appreciation, character & social references depicting the times & how they are simply (genius) funny - visually as well as verbally. These cartoons encouraged my curiosity at an early age for vocabulary - "Indubitably! " I can hear those two goofy gophers now from: Bone for a bone. Daffy also says it when asked if he can go on this mission. In Duck Dogers- both Daffy & Marvin want to claim the planet for themselves on behalf of Earth & Mars… both in the process destroy planet X. Ending of course with diehard Daffy professing the planet belongs to Earth! Porky remarks: BIG DEAL, as they all hang from what remains, threads. There were several cartoons along this line- including Bugs going to the moon. What do riches/property mean if we lose all else in the process? Daffy taught me this lesson very early in life & I am still grateful almost 60 years later. Watch any classic cartoons lately? I’m working on another that manages to put a smile on my face every time. Keep warm! This painting was as enjoyable to paint as it was watching all that inspired it! My Dogs... my girls.
They are a never ending source of amusement & joy. Each with a distinct personality, all lovable and at times slightly aggravating, to me & each other. Arrow constantly teases ginger and chases her for her 'baby'. When not tormenting Ginger she runs circles around Daisy whom she loves, always wanting to be with her big sister - luckily, due to her endless energy, her big sister is losing weight during play. I've spent the past few days cartooning I think I'll stick with it a while. Recently, close to where I live someone shot two dogs, and then tried to hide it... What kind of human behaves like this? & then tried to hide it.. I've worried about my dogs getting shot since I moved here as it's not uncommon to hear gunshots. I've trained them to stay close to home, yelling at them if they venture into the bush away from sight. Shooting a dog is equivalent to shooting someones family member & should be treated as such. Growing up in Toronto, I always thought gun violence was in the 'city', yet here surrounded by all this beauty - hearing shooting you realize theres one less deer, moose or bear to be seen & it appears you an also shoot 'just for fun'... don't let anyone tell you gun violence is only in cities. I really hope they find out who did this and they are punished for causing such suffering. I'd like to promote a product today! If you have arthritis - this ball is light weight, easy to throw and the girls LOVE it, it's also easy to find if it lands amongst the leaves. Chuck it- kick fetch! They love it- I love it, and it's tuff when the two of them can both pull at it for hours on end. There's no excuse not to play with the dogs! Winter will be here soon enough & they need the exercise. Arrow prefers all 'chuck it' balls as the orange is nice & bright & small ones are hard rubber & bounce but we have lost a few in the woods - I guess we'll have to wait for spring thaw. Today it's a beautiful sun filled day! From Letters From Stoic: And if God is pleased to add another day, we should welcome it with glad hearts. That's how I feel every morning, thankful for another day, especially when I get to spend it tossing the ball with the dogs... they make my heart glad. Painting them made my heart glad too. Do what you love! ...And love will come wherever it is asked. ACIM Farewell. |
