I forgot to include the recipe.. lol. This is so good, I just made it last week and we're craving it again.. it's dangerous. Add crusty bread ). Oh my... It also freezes well and is a great potluck dish. It even has the recipe for cannelloni! I can't stuff cannelloni noodles (I can't hold tongs) so I used Oven bake lasagna noodles and it was easier, faster and just as tasty! All recipes in this book are easy and tasty - before our food takeover.. the good Old days - The book was published in 1966.

I was thinking I bet the recipe cost pennies, back when.. it's not cheap now and you can see I double it, I suggest you do & freeze it, if you can. One more flash back that made me smile.. who remembers these socks? They took so long to put on, were NOT comfortable, albeit, I had a few pair, we all did, I'm pretty sure it was when I was in high school. Just the sight of them made me smile. I am this old:
