Got snow?? We do! Even when outside, my dogs come and look at me through my studio windows. I love it. Athene is now 1 and what a toddler she is! I tell you, EVERY day she makes me (us) laugh out loud. Rambunctious is a good word to describe her. Her zoomies rearrange the roomies. She adores Poppy & I've caught them snuggling on more than one occasion, Athene is fascinated with Poppy stature, she likes to put her mouth on poppy torso (Yikes, I know) and then run away as poppy chases her wildly! lol Poppy loves it too, I can tell. What a different relationship, compared to Poppy & Arrow.
Storm did the viral video (I asked) that creates your dog with Ai and yes, I am amused. It makes me smile.. I hope he does all our dogs. As for Ai - I AM not going to get into the habit of using it, regardless of the fear tactics of 'missing out' ... because everything I am reading is already explaining how it's NOT helping our brains - it's actually causing them to work less, at a fast rate. Isn't it incredible, for all my age (62) or older... kids now - cannot read script, can't read a map or compass, can't remember phone numbers - wow - remember how many we use to know! Can't focus on novels, have a diminishing vocabulary - literally, words are disappearing from dictionaries.... and they are getting this thing (not just children- adults too) at an early age - called Brain Rot' -which some equate to dementia now in 20 year olds...all from the 'advanced technology' that was introduced to them- 'advanced?' for whom? If I had a little one they would NOT be getting an iPad or cellphone -only one that can be used to actually 'speak'. I don't have little ones - I have 'me' and I am cutting my 'scrolling' right back.. I feel it there worse on Instagram.. scrolling, swiping.. wasting valuable time - life. I'm going to take breaks - days at a time and set time limits when I do check it out 30 mins. I have dogs to explore the forest with, meals to cook & viral recipes to try!
Speaking of social media - Have you tried the viral cheesecake hack' (seen on instagram?) I did . sigh, oh no... it's too easy- you shove (up and down) graham cookies into a big container of plain yogurt (not low fat) and put it back in the fridge to sit 24 hours. After 24 hours, put some jam on top, I used strawberry - or add some chopped fruit and enjoy. The cookies are now soft, and it does taste like delicious cheese cake. I'm definitely doing it again. I have cookies in the oven today - dog cookies! Cheaper to make then buy! Baked fresh by mom, once a week. My baby is bigger and we all love her, especially Arrow who behaves like her mom & teacher. We all sit on the sofa and long to see buds and sprouts - I tell them daily: It won't be long now girls!
I'm grateful for all the dogs I've ever had, I thank God for every companion sent to love and be loved... is 2026 your year to get a dog - perhaps 2??
